Bought this for my daughter’s softball glove and the description indicates it is ambidextrous. When I looked at the tag that is on it, it states it is for right handed gloves only (glove goes on left hand), so it is useless for her since she is a lefty.Had this been indicated anywhere aside from the tag that is physically attached to the guard, I would not have purchased it.

For the price I would recommend. Shape and fit is good enough for youth outfield glove or first baseman mitt as long as it isn’t over 12 inch. I used it on a 12 3/4 inch not a great fit but it does help it from losing shape. For a youth player I would definitely recommend as a way to keep shape/protect the glove when it’s in a bag.

I didn’t realize this was RHT until after I wrapped it, my son loved the idea but sadly it did not work with his lefty throw glove. Had to return it.I ordered the “ambidextrous” version of this glove (for infield gloves, black in color) and it also did not work for a lefty throw glove. I returned both. I contacted the company directly about a LHT version but they said they no longer make it in LHT :(

I coach High School baseball. I see boys stuff an open glove into their bags. This can cause the pocket to twist. I tell the players that only way for a glove to go into a bag is with this to protection. The only problem is that they are hard to find, especially the outfield model.

The Markwort Glove Gaurd took a very hard glove that was being very stubborn to break in and broke it in less than a week. We went from buying one of these to try it out and now I am up to three of the Outfielder/1st Glove Glove Guard. If my sons are not using their gloves, then they are put away in their bags with their Markwort Glove Guards!
