Cute decor for a kid's room! It is white plastic, which is great because it does not have any sharp edges and seems like it will hold up to being handled by a kid as well. But it does look very plastic-y.It takes 2 AAA batteries, and the space for the battery seems almost too big, it barely holds the batteries in place with the spring. But it does work.Good size to place on a bookshelf and use as a bedtime light.The A measures: 8.5" tall x 7" wide at the base. Stands on its own well, also has 2 hook spots on the back if you want to hang it. This would be a cute small gift for a kid or hey, even for an adult's desk or bookshelf as well.Offers the right amount of brightness, not too bright to be distracting, or too much for a kid's room. The color of the light is very yellow, just FYI, see photo, not the white light that I saw on the product page photos.Overall seems like a good value to me!

This decorative marquee letter light is a great addition to decor or accent for special occasions like parties, weddings, graduation, etc. It is made out of white plastic and it sort of has a cheap, "plastic-y" look to it when seeing it up close...but it doesn't look bad from a few feet away. The light output is actually pretty great in my opinion. It is not too bright to make it obnoxious, but bright enough to make it look good. The light can be set on a desktop or hung on the wall with the hanging hook holes on the back.Really, I think my only complaint is that it is battery powered only. Although the batteries last a descent amount of time, I would rather have the option for an electrical power cord so that it can stay turned on without having to worry about the batteries going dead - but this opinion is based on the fact that the light is setup in my daughter's room and she wants to leave it on ALL the time.Overall I'm pleased with this light and I think it is a good value for the price.

This is a very cute little battery powered (2 AA you provide) marquee style light. I got this for my granddaughter's birthday party and it is so cute that I bought her other initial too. These have "keyholes" for mounting on a wall, but be advised that the on/off switch is located on the back of the letter, so you will have to take it off the wall in order to turn it on and off. These will look great on a bookshelf or floating shelf. Check the size on this advertisement, they are about 8-1/2 inches tall, but they are perfect for my application. Unfortunately, it did not work after receiving and putting in brand new batteries. I did still use for wedding decor just without lights.

Used this as a backyard wedding decoration on the gift table (first initial of last name of the couple). A number of guests commented on it. It is made out of plastic, which isn't surprising, and the lights give off a warm glow which looks great at night. I can see the newlyweds putting this on a shelf in their apartment.

These lightup letters are a great option for a wide array of events. They are well priced, so depending on your specific situation, you have plenty of options to work with. I picked one up just to add a nice touch to a birthday party - which again, for the price, you really can't go wrong.The sign itself will use 2 "AA" batteries and from what I have seen - they will last plenty long as the power draw from the lights are minimal.
