Marshalltown 27HD Drywall & Plastering T-Square 47 7/8 X 22 Heavy Duty English
From the Manufacturer
Marshalltown 16333 47-7/8 X 22 Heavy-Duty T-Square has a silver anodized finish with black epoxy paint numerals for long wear and legibility. It features a notched head, reverse rulings, and stud markings to allow for quick, accurate cuts. The aircraft-style rivets secure blades for long term accuracy, and the T-Square has one arm which measures 16-inches for use in finding studs. The head is notched, which enables cutting a 48-inch board in one pass while the board is standing on the floor.

This is a great T-Square and it will serve you well if you're someone who takes care of their tools. I'm replacing one I've used for over 30+ years in the construction and building trades, first as a general contractor in residential, commercial and light industrial work then as a woodworker of recognized repute and custom cabinetmaker (meaning I started with hand picked rough-sawn lumber). BTW: The numbers on my old square were like me, worn and fading, but it didn't wear out. So why am I buying a new buying a new Marshalltown T-square when I retired and sold the business? Because my dear wife of many years drove through another garage door and turned my T-Square in to a J-Square, a tool that don't recall ever having a use for.Update 08/19/2017: I decided to treat myself so I bought 2 T-squares. The 48" from this review in addition to the 54" model. They arrived in perfect condition packaged very well in separate boxes. They still have the heavy duty 3/16" blades but now have a milled recess running down the center of the blade giving all those serial 1 star reviewers anal nitpickers something to offend them. The recess however (IMO) seems to make it lay on your sheet goods better than a solid blade. A quick test showed both squares to be within 1/32" of an inch over their entire length which is well within the tolerances for this tool. To summarize, I stand by both my initial statement, "This is a great T-Square and it will serve you well if you're someone who takes care of their tools." and the title of this review that it's "A great T-Square that should serve you well for many years".

Very good quality T-square. Definitely feels very durable and hard to kink/bend. Only had it for a couple weeks but if it doesn't stand up to construction wear I'll be sure to update my review.
