This Martin small portable drafting board with parallel bar is perfect and just what I was hoping for. It is solid with good support features on the underside. The parallel bar works smoothly and stays in line. This is the board I was hoping for and ordered from a another seller but they sent a different brand that did not even come close to the quality of the Martin they represented on Amazon's website. Amazon was very supportive in my efforts to return the inferior product to that seller with a full refund.I reordered the Martin I wanted from Chartpak through Amazon's website and was happy with the delivery time, the packing of the product, and very happy with the Martin product!

Perfect size & very portable! The foldable triangle legs have a rubber cover to not damage table. Sturdy handle & easily adjustable tension bar. In short it’s exactly what I wanted & arrived as expected!

As an interior design student, I was very excited to get this portable drafting table. However, it ended up sitting in the corner of my room after the first use because it doesn’t work properly. The horizontal bar did not glide smoothly and would rip my paper, no matter how much I adjusted it. Would recommend spending a little more to get a better product.

There is a screw under the right knob that protrudes and raises the sliding bar. See photos. This is a defect. The sliding bar should be flush against the table as shown (see photo of left knob). If you twist the right knob clockwise to lock the sliding bar in place, the defective screw below protrudes even more. If you twist the knob counterclockwise to lower the screw below and thus lower the bar, then the knob pops off. The drafting table arrived defective and unable to be used.Knobs and hardware also felt very cheap when handling. It feels more like a toy. This drafting table is not for professionals. Look elsewhere.

I wanted to find a board that gave me a nice smooth surface that I can clean easily. It's great for that, as well as giving a nice sharp line to my pencil marks. I generally don't use the bar (in fact for me it sometimes gets in the way), but it's good for lining up a ruler when that's necessary.I don't give the highest rating just because my use of the board is fairly light, I don't carry it around anywhere, I just do basic drafting and some ink work. So I can't speak to much about it, but I do find myself using it more and more. So yeah, good.

I have no problem with this product. It fully met my expectations though it didn't "blow my socks off." I'd recommend it.
