I wanted to love these. The idea is cute, making it look like a mason jar. The material is tough, hard to poke holes in, and the ziplock fastener seals well, I tested that with fluids, and it held under pressure. The material being translucent is good, enabling you to see what's inside.The volume tested out slightly smaller than specified. The product is supposed to hold 13 oz., and when I tested it, it held 12 oz. A ziploc sandwich bag is speified to hold 16 oz. (33% more). The mouth wants to stay closed, because the material is fairly stiff, so it's hard to get things into the bag without smooshing them. If you're putting a liquid, or something like beans, no problem. If it's a half sandwich, it's going to get smooshed. Similarly, the feature where the bottom expands to help the bag sit vertically doesn't work that well. Because the material is pretty stiff, the bag wants to flatten out, narrowing the expansion of the base, and making it tippier. Perhaps with enough reuse, the plastic will become more flexible, but a new bag doesn't open up that easily. I think, perhaps, the design would work better with a larger volume. This would allow more material to flex, and the welded seams wouldn't be so close together.

These mason jar bags work well and look unique. Zipper seals well and the bags are durable.
