I have been using a mason jar type soap dispenser in my bathroom for years. The pump lids have always been an issue - they are either cheap looking plastic or they rust. This new dispenser lid is supposedly non-rust (so far so good!) and if that holds true I will be very happy. I like the black color also - it coordinates well - my sink cabinet & mirror frame are also black. Time will tell if this pump lid remains rust free - if not, I’ll update my review.

I got this soap dispenser for the women's bathroom at the fire department I work at - the bathroom needs a little more 'flair'. It unscrews and fills easily and gives just the right amount of hand soap. The included rubber mat makes it so the glass jar doesn't slide all over the place when you use the dispenser. Definitely worth the money.

One of our bathrooms has mason jars as decorative items, for toothbrushes and hairbrushes and whatnot, and this just seemed to be a perfect fit. It works just fine for pumping out soap, though you tend to need two pumps to get enough unless you press it all the way down. But that's not a big deal, I don't want a huge burst of soap coming out at each press as that's a waste. This thing also holds a metric ton of soap, so you won't have to refill this thing very often at all. It's a real mason glass jar, so make sure to use the bottom rubber piece that comes with it. That will keep it from sliding around when using and possibly slide into the sink and breaking. Oh, and the rubber tray it sits on blows in the dark! Plus!

Note that this is a real glass mason jar with a platic lid.I was a little worried about using real glass where my kids use it, especially since it sits on our new marble vanity top...but it's been working great, and it looks really cute! I did a bathroom remodel and this matches the decor really well.The pump works well, with no big messes, even my kids use it without problems. It holds a lot of soap. And I love the little grippy rubber tray. It stays in place well and keeps it from harming my marble countertop. It also glows in the dark!--a feature I didn't know about but my kids love.To be honest, I couldn't be happier with a soap dispenser...
