This chisel set has many uses. I use it for both chiseling concrete as well as breaking up a stubborn tree stump that refuses to die. You will need a hand held sledge hammer to use this. A normal hammer isn't heavy enough to allow these chisels to do their job. I like the flange that protects your hand in case you miss the top of the chisel but I do wish the protection plate was a bit bigger. They are heavy duty and they get the job done.

The 2 Piece Masonry Chisel Set was purchased to shape/chip stone, mortar and concrete. Comments following review and short/light use period:1. VERY heavily built product and appears to possess very good quality steel and plastic for grips/shields - All nicely manufactured for such heavy tools.2. H x L x W dimensioning are all accurate as advertised - with steel measuring 12" in length and up to 1" wide, they are heavy in weight and should have good durability/longevity for larger projects.3. Grip/shield structures appears to be well attached to metal shafts absolutely needed for safety.4. Light use has been limited to chipping mortar between large veneer stones - probably too large for this purpose, but performed extremely well with ZERO damage as expected. The products will be Great for breaking large stone and chipping/removing concrete where a larger/heavier tool is needed.Form, Fit, Function and Value are all Very Good - expect durability and longevity from heavy use based on what has been experienced thus far. 5 Star rating and Recommended.

These chistles are ridiculously tough, and seem like they'll last a lifetime.I particularly like that they have the flare to protect your hands. The rubber handle is comfortable, and makes it easy to hold. They and very functional and did the job for splitting the few blocks I needed to do... and will probably get abused to all heck on other things, from here on out. I trust that they can take it.

I've worked a lot intermittently on projects that involve stone cutting and other masonry and demolition projects so when I saw this pair of chisels, I decided to get them, knowing that it wouldn't take me too long to put them to use. Sure enough a basement shower addition project came up and i needed to do some finer chiseling of the basement concrete slab after I had made my saw cuts. This chisel set saved my butt. Or my left hand rather. I've been using an ooold steel cold chisel for demolition work like this in the past and it doesn't even have a guard. With the amount of chiseling I had to do, these definitely saved my left hand/wrist from getting whacked the way it always seems to at least once per masonry project.I thought I would be using mostly the flat chisel, but when I tried the pointed chisel, I quickly learned its usefulness for finer work as well as for getting more force onto a small pinpoint work area. Both chisels served me well. After hours of chiseling - there were no obvious signs of wear on the chisels and not yet a need to sharpen them. Also no throbbing left hand.

If you'd asked me five years ago if I'd be adding a set of masonry chisels to my arsenal, I'd have checked your temperature, 'cause clearly you'd have been feverish. But fast forward, and here I am in Texas, where just beneath the innocent-looking topsoil lurks a massive slab of limestone that stretches from Dallas clear down to Austin. Three things quickly became obvious: (1) limestone around here isn't just a rock - it's a way of life; (2) installing an in-ground pool might require hiring a demolitions expert; and (3) fence posts around these parts require less shovel and more jackhammer - welcome to the neighborhood! But back to the chisels. This two-piece Craftzone masonry chisel set - one flat, one pointed - quickly became essential gear for maintaining the limestone edging and stonework around my property. Made from heat-treated 40CR high-carbon steel, these chisels have held their edge incredibly well, even after repeated battles with rock that's just shy of fossilized concrete. The rust-resistant, powder-coated finish makes outdoor storage worry-free.I have a couple of spare chunks of limestone hanging around, and every time I grab these chisels, I half-expect to emerge as the next Gutzon Borglum, carving some grand monument in my own backyard. Okay, maybe I haven't reached Mount Rushmore-level artistry yet - but hey, I've got the tools for it!Summary: These chisels turned an unexpected chore into something oddly satisfying - shaping stonework has never felt so legit.Pros:✅ Heavy-duty heat-treated 40CR steel✅ Dual-purpose design (break stone, pull nails)✅ Comfortable, ergonomic grip with hand protection✅ Rust-resistant coating ideal for outdoor use✅ Great balance and controlCons:❌ Hand guards could be slightly larger for extended use❌ You'll start eyeing random rocks around your property with artistic intent🏅 Verdict:These chisels deliver big-time on tough masonry tasks - making even the hardest stone feel manageable. They're solid performers, whether you're sculpting a masterpiece or just wrangling ornery Texas limestone.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 out of 5 Stars - Highly Recommended)

Chisels of seem to be of pretty decent quality. I've got an upcoming brick project in the next couple months, and these should come in handy. The steel appears to be fairly decent steel, and the flat chisel is shockingly sharp. The tips are not cut terribly easily with a file, so it seems likely it was adequately hardened and heat treated. The hand shield is oval, and the grips are I guess ergonomically shaped to fit in your hand. I have rather large hands and they fit fine, but they do have a triangular grip which feels a little odd, but I suspect I will get used to it. They are sort of a plastic with a bit of a slightly more grippy plastic overlaid.Overall they seem like reasonable quality chisels that should last a good amount of time even with relatively heavy use
