Wow! I was so happy to find this good deal. 'Was trying to salvage an old rusty cruiser bike my neighbor was throwing away. The tires and chain needed fixing. The hardware store had a new chain for sale, but it required the purchase of a special chain-breaking tool and also would need to have the repair link rivetted together - what a pain! Next, I tried to salvage a chain of another bike, but found there was no repair link in that either. Note that the used chain is riveted together trapping it to the old bike frame. The only way to take it off would be to purhase the chain-break tool, bust it apart and rivet in new links. Thank goodness for this box of inexpensive repair links. Wow! I now have a lifetime supply of bike chain repair links.I used my grinder to bust the used chain apart and easily installed it on the bike I was trying to repair. Note that these links are not the 3 piece that I've used in years go by. They are two piece and don't require the spring clip to hold the removable sideplate on the link. You slip the two free ends of the chain onto the pins of the repair link, hold the sideplate onto one of the pins. While holding the sideplate against the pins, simply bend the chain sideways which springs the pins towards each other until the sideplate slips into place over the notches in the repair link pins. As you release the slight bending of the chain, the pins spread back apart and hold the sideplate in the notched location of the pins. No split clip is needed, as the chain tension holds the sideplate firmly in the notches.

These are cheap, but great if you work on neighborhood kids bikes all the time and sometimes just wanna throw a master link on one. Also would be great for crafts, what kind of crafts you ask? I don't know, do I look like Pinterest?
