I needed a hasp to go around a 90* corner and this did the trick. Happy with the value of this hasp and it worked out great for me. It is not a heavy duty hasp but then, I only needed a light duty hasp and it fills that bill.

This is a great hasp, and works well. The only thing to note is that this is not a super high security hasp, and cannot handle a lock with a shackle thicker than about 1/4". And while it's nice that it includes screws, if at all possible I definitely recommend using longer ones or even small bolts depending on your application.

It installed okay, some of the screws were made of really badly milled potmetal and broke when driving them in... Used some screws i had laying around and still got it installed. Hasp is really small. Not sure how much abuse this thing can take but this is more a deterrent for opportunists. don't expect any real security from this thing.

Things have been picking up legs and walking off on my property lately. So, I have been doing anything proactive I can to protect what I have left. I actually purchased this to put pad locks on both my sheds. I may not stop a theft, but I'm going to try my best. This hasps worked out perfectly and did exactly what I needed them to do. It keeps the lock in place, and hopefully it will at least deter would be thieves. Good hasp reasonably priced. I would recommend.

What can I say, It is what it is. It works great. Seems secure. I've been using it on a shed for about 6-7 months now. No rust or any other problems. I will buy again when I need another one.I am using this with " Master Lock 40DPF Round Padlock with Shielded Shackle, 2-3/4-inch, Stainless Steel "http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004SQKX

Very nicely finished, small and sturdy - beware of the size though - this is not the big latch you might be thinking of - it's only 4.5 maybe 5" in length, but I think overall, depending on the job, will do well. It does for me.

Simple and great. This is for something that you want to use to discourage people from going those your shed/storage space. I dont think it would stand a chance if someone where to try and break into the place though.

Remember, those 3/8 and 5/16 inch braided steel cables used to secure bikes and small construction tools are rated for low to medium crime areas. A hammer and chisel or any bolt cutters that can get a piece of one of those cables in its open jaws will rather quickly break apart the entire cable. Given that, I have to rate this as suitable for a no crime area. This is something to keep your minor children out of your snuff or porno stash or you ladies' lacy undies. With a long screwdriver say about a foot or more long, you might be able to pop out the eye from its base. With a pry bar or carpenters weight hammer I think a 6 year old could defeat this and certainly any teen or older. Good for what it is made for at a fair price, just know what you are buying.
