The pump drains the swamp cooler every 8 hours of operation. Eliminates calcium buildup. Wonderful!

This is really saving our cooler! In previous years the calcium build up was so bad our cooler pads only lasted barely one season. Half way through this year and they still look like new! Well worth the money!! Very easy to install too.

We have now owned this product for over a year and used it multiple times. It easy to use, works great. We’ve mainly used it down at our boat dock to supply water to our small electric pressure washer.

Great unit ,going to buy another.no purge pump what's with that .I just drilled a hole in the bottom and put a valve on it done.directions hard to under stand I had to read twice.im going to hang 1 on the back of my RV 4.5 amps hard to beat .RV roof top 15 amps .cools just as good or better.

Work's perfect for my MCP59 swamp cooler, and is a must with our very hard water.I actually run the waste hose from the cooler to some near by plant beds.

We have hard water and the pump dumps the old water out so that there is a constant supply of fresh water to keep the cooler pads functioning and free of mineral deposits. Without the pump the pads would be hard and crusty within a month and unable to cool.

This is not a purge pump. Please do not buy this. This product is mislabeled.This is a 5000cfm dial cooler pump, worth $15 that is used as a purge pump within a specific Master Cool window mounted evap cooler.Why does that matter? Well apparently that evap cooler has internal electronics to cycle this pump. That's where the timer lives, that's what determines if it's on or not. So if you do have that evap cooler, do yourself a favor and buy a regular pump to use as a purge, you'll save money.For the rest of us that normal coolers with a 110v pump leg, all this pump will do is continuously run and evacuate all the water from the system. Avoid this pump at all cost, it won't do what you think it will.
