I have a 23,000 gallon in-ground salt pool and the pH is constantly creeping up due to the chlorine generator. Usually I use muriatic acid from the pool store, added weekly, to keep the pH in proper ranges. It's not obvious in the beginning, but consistently high pH has led to the formation of scale and early failure of several salt cells in the past.I decided to use this to manipulate the pH and it seems to work just as well or better than the acid additions. However, it requires 2 cups per dose for my pool, so this bag will not last very long. It does work as described, though. Just pour around the deep end before the pump starts running and wait for it to dissolve. No issues so far.

I had to use the entire bag to get the PH down in our 28,000 gallon pool because the PH was very high, but this stuff did bring the PH down quite a bit. If you use liquid chlorine (which automatically raises your PH) you will need this stuff and possibly a lot of it. For a pool, if they have a bigger bag out there you might want to grab that, but for a hot tub, this is a good size and it works. It’s dry acid basically, so try to keep it off your skin.

This is one of those things you have to have on hand for when you need it. It’s not a regularly used thing. Sometimes people need it because their PH creeps up on it’s own. Other times people need it because it just rained, and their pool water is out of whack. Or maybe just using the pool causes their water to go out of whack. A pool is a giant chemistry experiment. I actually got this for both our pool and hot tub. I have had a need for it yet, but it looks the same as other PH down, so it’s familiar. It’s not something you have to learn how to use. The instructions are pretty simple too.If you’re using this in a hot tub, dissolve the granules first so it mixes better. You can do the same for a pool but you need more granules for a pool so it would require more water and more effort to dissolve. Remember to do it in small batches. It’s tempting to dump in the full dose, but you run the risk of tanking the PH, and then you have to use a different chemical to bring it up, which means more money. Plus, it’s more time wasted, waiting for the PH to come back up. I have used other AquaDoc products, so I would recommend this and their other products.

This pH decreaser is of great quality and performs effectively. Although my pool's pH levels are usually stable, I recently observed an increase in pH. I was pleased to find this product, as it helped restore balance to the pH levels. It's quite user-friendly, albeit a bit on the expensive side. However, since I don't need to use it every day, I believe it's worth the investment, and most importantly, it does the job well.

This is one of those products you don’t use daily, but it’s essential to have on hand. I got this along with a few of their products to store in the pool shed. I have an approximately 14k gallon chlorine pool, and this worked exactly as needed to bring down the pH level. The instructions are clear, and it’s easy to apply. In pools, it takes more product, so I recommend applying in smaller batches to avoid overcorrecting. They ship quickly and are made in the USA. Resealable bag is always a plus!

This is your standard sodium bisulfate to lower pH. Shop based on price because these are all the same. The packaging here is fine but it's harder to pour stuff out than other options that have a pour spout or use a plastic jug.

I am new to pool maintenance and am trying to learn all I can about maintaining chemicals. The Aquadoc pH decreaser is made in the USA which I like. It is a pro-grade formula as stated on the package. Dosage chart is on the back of the bag which made it easier for me to compute how much to add to my pool. Comes in a 5lb bag so this should last me a while. Pleased with my order!

This is basically an expensive bag of sodium bisulfate. It works fine to lower the pH in my pool, but it is twice the price for the same 5 lb bag sold by Walmart.
