As a very satisfied owner of the previous camera I was excited to upgrade to the new model If I could give it 6 stars I would. This wildlife camera delivers impressive image quality, with clear day and night footage. Setup is a breeze, and the Bluetooth connection means you dont have to keep removing the memory card, the fast trigger speed ensures you don't miss a thing. Its robust, weatherproof design provides peace of mind in any conditions. The attached solar panel means the battery never runs out giving you continuous use.The price makes it affordable to be able to catch the wildlife around us that you probably don't see.

I'm really pleased with the camera. There are so many to choose from but I'm sure I've made the right decision. It's a great size, feels well built and as though it should last.It was easy to set-up and the app is good too - sometimes these apps aren't so great but this one worked and connected first time. It has a logical layout too and isn't overly (unnecessarily) complicated. The pics and videos I've captured are also great - nice and clear, both daylight and night shots.

I have two other cameras by Maxdone, both model PH960W, which I bought in 2024, and which have performed excellently. Compared with this earlier model, the PH970S has a built in solar panel, a larger capacity rechargeable battery (5200mAh compared with 2000mAh) and a higher video resolution (1296P compared with 1080P). The built in solar panel increases the size, of course, but it’s no bigger than old trailcam designs that need to accommodate 8 AA batteries. The rechargeable batteries in these trailcams are a huge improvement on the old designs. The PH970S can be charged either via its solar panel or via a USB-C connection. I charged mine initially via the USB-C using a port on my desktop computer to ensure the recommended charging rate of 5V 1A. Since then I’ve been using the camera to monitor nocturnal wildlife in my garden (so far, mostly field mice). For the time being, I have the camera placed in a north-facing enclosure so, in this case the solar panel is receiving almost no direct sunlight. Despite this, and after 38 days and over 200 video activations/playback, I’m amazed that the remaining battery charge is still showing as 60%. The video quality is very good, and the 1296P resolution does give a discernible improvement.I find the app easy to use, and it was easy to set up. I also think it’s impressive that, using my Samsung devices, I can communicate with the camera through the cavity brick wall of my house. Overall, I think this is a great trailcam and would highly recommend it.

I had high hopes for this camera, but it disappointed me to no end. After going through the set up using the app, I placed the camera approximately 15 feet from the area that I wanted to monitor for various wildlife.I watched out my patio doors for over a half an hour as dozens of birds, six large squirrels, two ducks and a raccoon passed through the cameras field vision. The camera did not record one single event over the half hour. It did however, record me walking away after installing the camera on the stand. So, apparently the camera can only detect an object weighing over 150 pounds before the motion sensor kicks in.Getting immediate help from Tech Support is impossible as they only offer Support via email. No telephone or chat Support is available. And you have to wait until China wakes up and responds to your email. That’s what I get for buying a Chinese product.I am returning this camera for a full refund.

Love the solar , I live in Florida and my battery is 100 percent charged even after taking hundreds of picture and videos. Now I just check my phone, no need to go out to get sd card..

Even for a tech savvy deprived person like myself, the trail cam was pretty easy to get operating properly. And the photos and videos are of excellent quality.

Nice handy little trail cam. This is my third trail cam I have owned, although the first MAXDONE unit, and so far I have to say that it takes decent quality pictures - no video yet - and was surprisingly easy to set up. Yes, I would definitely recommend this camera.
