I use my old video recorder and keep the tapes as a back up. I also put the movies on DVD. Good product at a good price.

I have always had pretty good luck with Maxell tapes. Be careful not to change brand of tapes in your camera. The lubricants on the tape from different brands can chemically react with each other and gum up the camera. This can be a big deal and costly.
