The Maxpedition Fatty is a very good investment on your EDC purchases. I have multiple of this product and it is perfect for making a 3 lb. kit.

As a fan & regular user of a MAXPEDITION bag, I knew that this EDC pocket organizer would be quality made & built to last. My EDC bag contains many items which I have found to be useful in a variety of unprompted situations. The downside to this is that I have a bag full of items, some of which are loose, & others which are stowed in the internal pockets, but will "break free" at times if the bag is tossed or falls over & end up haphazardly floating around the inside of the bag. This Padded Fatty Pouch is an excellent solution for this & has already proven its worth in my bag. I have opted to use it for storing my electronics. The contents of the bag include a battery bank, lightning cable, micro USB, USB-C, aux cable, large capacity flash drive, charging block & a 12-24V plug for the car (I also intend to include a compact flashlight & a lightning-to-HDMI adapter). While the bag still has more elastic retainers to use & appears to have more capacity while open, zipping it closed reminds me of an overpacked luggage. Nonetheless, the product is great & the quality of the zippers & stitching does not faulter - even while the bag is full. Would absolutely recommend to a friend. Thanks for reading!

MAXPEDITION has made a lot of good gear and I've used their smaller pocket organizer for a while. Well, I have a core set of items I need whenever I go to work. Sometimes, I change bags and don't always grab every single item needed, and that makes my day a bit rough. The smaller pocket organizer I have is sufficient to hold my keys and wallet, but not big enough to also hold my office keys, badge, etc. Plus, I don't want to always carry around my office stuff if I only need my personal stuff. That's where this padded fatty pocket comes in. It's big enough to hold the smaller pocket organizer (with my personal stuff) AND has separate organization for my office stuff. So the whole thing can be layered with priority items and I can grab exactly what I need.

I'm a guy who appreciates gear that's built to last, and this MAXPEDITION Fatty Pocket Organizer seemed like it fit the bill. First off, the thing is tough. Feels like it could survive a drop from a moving truck. I tossed it in my toolbox, and it's been bumping around in there with wrenches and sockets for a few weeks now without a scratch. The size is decent. Fits comfortably in my back pocket, and I can cram a good amount of stuff in it: multi-tool, flashlight, small notepad, pen, even my folding knife. Keeps everything organized and easy to find, which is a big plus for me. I hate digging around for stuff. The MOLLE webbing is a nice touch. I attached a small pouch for extra storage, and it works great. Gives you some flexibility to customize it how you want. Now, here's what I'm not crazy about. The zipper. It's a bit stiff. Not a deal-breaker, but it takes two hands to open sometimes, which can be annoying when you're trying to grab something quickly. Also, the color is a bit boring. Would be nice if they offered some other options.Overall, though, this MAXPEDITION pouch is a solid piece of gear. It's durable, functional, and well-made. If you're looking for a tough organizer to keep your everyday carry items in check, this one's worth a look.

Maxpedition makes the absolute best gear! I have a Fatboy Verispack that I bought over ten years ago, wear every day, still looks great and going strong. Over the years, I've only had to replace the 1" plastic buckle for the lid flap that gets opened and closed several times day. Nylon gear is a bit like a pizza, better ingredients make for a better pizza. When you combine Teflon coated1000 Denier Cordura fabric, heavy duty YKK zippers and paracord pulls, oversized straps and buckles you’re getting gear that won’t give up.So I am going to post this same review for three different pocket organizers / EDC pouches. I have all three in the picture. I could speak about each individually, but what I believe will benefit most shoppers will be seeing them side by side for a visual comparison. You can use these for just about any kind of organization, and each is completely customizable for your needs. Sure, the sizes are all clearly stated, but seeing these organizers at scale will probably help more than me describing each individually.Pictured in order from left to right are Maxpedition’s 6x2.5x8, 5x2x7 then 4x2.5x6 organizers. All three are very similar and completely customizable for whatever your tasks may be. The smallest has a divider down the middle to keep smaller items separate. In addition to all the ingredients in that first paragraph, you’re also getting padded sidewalls, D-loops, molle loops, Velcro for morale patches, and mesh outer pockets. Maxpedition has been refining these smaller pouches for years and pretty much covers everything you can think of. They work as stand-alone organizers / pouches or each can easily be strapped to any larger pack with molle loops. To give you some examples of what I did with these three, I put together two level 1 first aid kits (IFACs). The medium sized pouch (5x2x7) stays with my wife and includes the basics needed for busted knuckles, scraped knees and other minor sports related troubles our kids can get into. The larger pouch (6x2.5x8) is mine and includes all the basics plus a few extras like larger gauze pads, heavy duty trauma shears, tourniquet, hemostatic gauze and sports tape. The smallest pouch (4x2x6) I use to keep my electrical multimeter, outlet and circuit testers together for quick and easy trouble shooting. These are just my examples though. If you can carry it, these pouches can keep it together for you for a lifetime. As a disclaimer, yes, I received these pouches from Amazon only having to pay tax in exchange for an unbiased review. However, please understand that I have been purchasing, using and highly recommending Maxpedition gear for many years now well before Amazon started the Vine review program. From Versipaks to sling packs, bugout bags and back packs, all are top tier quality. Also, banana for scale.
