This generator is great. After putting new oil in it, the generator started on the first pull . It runs smoothly and definitely provides the added power that I needed to run a microwave in my trailer. I’m very happy with my purchase. It also has a very reasonable noise level.

Works great. Love the blue tooth starting and info on the app. Sat on the ice -23 overnight hit start for inside my hut and it fired right up. Just as quiet as my buddy’s Honda. He went to get one after the trip.

Got this generator in April 2023. (I know almost 2 years ago). Used it on 1 camping trip and it was hard to start but after multiple people trying we finally got it started.Put it in storage (without fuel) for the next year and a half and pulled it out, put new gas in and pulled and pulled and pulled and it never started. Got a new spark plug because I can work on small engines and did some maintenance, but still didn’t start.Reached out to support and they gave me the run around to check this and that and do the stuff I already did. Still didn’t start.Customer supports final decision was I could get another one for $550, the cost of a new one, or take it to a repair shop and they would send me parts if I paid shipping.I guess the moral to the story is, buy a reputable brand or deal with these headaches, but I wouldn’t buy from this brand or any others that look the same as this as they’re all made in the same factory.

We bought this (our first) generator as a backup for our solar power on our ORV 19 MKS trailer. My goal was only to run on propane for the generator. For the first 12 hours no problems at all. Flawless and started on electric every time. Then it sat for 2 months without use. The other day I went to start with the electric starter. I had left the battery connected and it was dead. No amounts of manual pulls would work. Finally I filled the gas tank and it started on gas on the second pull. After a few minutes I switched to propane and again, started right away and the battery is charging. Despite this little incident (my fault for not disconnecting battery) I love this generator. I also dealt with the customer service center and had very good feedback on the issue. Would buy this again. The ability to use the propane and not gas is perfect.

I've had the pleasure of owning and extensively using the 5500watt inverter generator for over 200 hours, and I'm blown away by its performance, reliability, and quiet operation. This compact powerhouse has exceeded my expectations in every way, making it an indispensable addition to my outdoor adventures and backup power needs. The pure sine wave output has seamlessly powered my sensitive electronics, and the generator's quiet operation (considering its impressive 5500watt capacity). The compact design makes it easy to transport and store, perfect for RVing, camping, or home backup power. But what truly sets this generator apart is its reliability - 200+ hours of use with zero issues is a testament to its robust build and quality engineering.A crucial note: the oil changes are essential! I performed three oil changes within the first three hours of use, and the oil was surprisingly dirty. This proactive maintenance has undoubtedly contributed to the generator's flawless performance. The customer service has been phenomenal, responsive, and knowledgeable. Their support has been a game-changer, providing peace of mind and ensuring I get the most out of my investment. In conclusion, this 5500watt inverter generator is a top-notch choice for anyone seeking a reliable, quiet, and powerful solution. With its exceptional performance, compact design, and outstanding customer service, I'm thrilled to recommend it to anyone in need of a trustworthy backup power source.

Feature packed little generator. Handles all of our needs. 3600 peak watts - 3200 running watts on propane. 4000 peak watt - 3600 running watts on gasoline. The wife doesn't like the smell of gas, so I run it on propane. Has Blue Tooth control of starting, stopping. Runs on either propane or gasoline. Has digital gauge for output power and voltage. All this at a reasonable cost. Not 100% sure, but seems to be quieter than my old 2200 peak wattage running generator. Build quality seems to be better too. Only down side is that it's a little heavier, but you would expect that from a higher output generator. Hopefully it will be trouble free. Only problem I had was finding the starter battery connection. The manual tells you to connect the battery, but doesn't tell you where to look. After a bit of searching, I finally found it and connected it. So far, so good.

The inverter-generator is pretty much as advertised. We have used in on Propane only, in order to keep the engine gunk-free. So far we have not tested at high altitude, but at 3,000 ft where we live, it operates very well. Highly recommend watching a few YouTube videos about the unit, to save time and to clarify operating and set-up instructions (for instance, it's important to connect the battery wires properly before starting it. We did everything as suggested and it started up the first time (push-button) on propane only. According to one video, if using propane, it's helpful to close the spark plug gap just a teeny bit. But getting the spark plug out with the tool that comes with the generator was not possible. It was a flimsy socket tool that stripped (the plug stayed fine). Went to the auto-parts store and purchased a spark plug removal extender socket for about $12. This on the end of my socket wrench worked perfectly -- plenty of leverage and a tight fit that made plug removal easy. The propane adaptor works great, and the generator ran our RV airconditoner (3,500 watt) perfectly. The ONLY thing that we noticed (so far) is that the noise level is not as quiet as advertised. It's not horrible, but it's not as quiet as 53-55 db. At 20 feet away, it's more like 63-65 db. Still very good, but more than advertised. Other than that, it's a great deal for the money -- portable, realt4ively quiet, good power output, versatile and not too heavy (53 lbs, plus it is on wheels). A this point, would highly recommend.

I purchased this MXR 3500 2 years ago for our camper for those times we just stop at a rest area and need power. Its light enough I can easily take it in & out of the camper very quiet and fuel-efficient, especially on Eco mode untill we stopped over night in Florida and really wish it could have run the AC the fan just wasn't enough it had performed so well I just purchased a second one and run them parallel and now there's nothing we can't run. I highly recommend these generators you don't need to purchase a high-end Honda to have a quite reliable power source. After two years it still starts on one pull even afternot using it for months on end . I think will be stopping more at rest areas when just pulling over for the night why spend $70-$100 just to sleep comfortably over night they really are that quite and reliable.

**Update: have used it now for about 13 months, including winter camping in the snow. Approximately 670 hours as of this writing. Still performing well, still quiet and responsive when throttling up. Oil changes have not revealed any obvious issues such as dirty oil or metal glitter. Have used only full synthetic oil in the recommended grade since break in was completed.A couple of observations:1. Ease of starting seems to vary a lot. Sometimes it will start on the first pull or two, other times it will be quite fussy requiring many, many pulls both on choke or off choke with no obvious reason why--except the colder it is, the harder it starts.2. Actual run time before running dry has not come close to what was advertised. The best it has ever done was 8hrs 25min on a FULL tank of premium, on Eco mode, with an intermittent load of only 450 watts. The gas tank is tiny, but that's the trade off for the compact size and weight. I created an auxiliary fuel system which increased run time approximately 5 times longer.Overall a good value. Would buy again. **End of Update**>>Original Review starts hereI've only run it for a couple of hours so far, breaking it in with conventional oil and changing it twice. Will be putting it to use in a few days, as well as throughout the cold snowy winter doing off grid camping, so review may be subject to change in future.A couple of issues I discovered right away: the air intake tube from the air filter box to the carb was not actually seated at all into the air box - it was sucking unfiltered air from inside the generator housing. I only discovered this when I took the whole side panel off to check how to clean the air filter. So I installed that intake tube correctly myself and now the air filter will actually do some good. The other issue is the plastic housing is slightly in the way of getting the spark plug out or in when using the tool provided with the unit. You'll need to clearance the opening in the housing to use that tool for plug installation, or like me, use an extension and plug socket on a ratchet - this worked well enough.Otherwise, generator is as advertised. Lightweight, compact, quiet, and easy to start. Power output seems consistent. I tested the voltage with a 1000 watt load on (my shop vac), and it was steady at 123 volts output. It also had no issue throttling up from Eco mode when I turned on the shop vac. This generator will run the AC in our very old camper trailer.I gave 5 stars to value, in the hope that this unit lasts me many years. Only time will answer that.
