Took me 3 hours to remove and replace stock muffler. I used a saws all and 4 blades. I cut the old muffler out and still had to cut 3 to 4 inches off the tail pipe. The hardest part was getting the clamps off and getting the old pipe going to muffler off the pipe going to the cat.The new muffler is not much louder and sounds great. I have gained at least 1 or 2 MPG.

Excellent welding on the quality 409 stainless! Exact fit as described on MBRP website. Box includes: 4" Muffler, 4"offset pipe, & 3 standard clamps. Follow instructions and Do Not cut off the catalytic converter pipe! Clamped directly onto the factory catalytic converter reusing my factory stock hangers. After hanging the new muffler, I cut 4" off my factory tailpipe, It fit like a glove. Truck sounds deeper tone like an older diesel should. Engine loves the less restrictive piping. Extremely pleased. Made in Canada not in China👍

Worked as intended. A little more growl than stock and your turbo will spool a little faster.

I too was running a straight pipe for many years and the droning sound in the cab was getting old. The install was easy and I had to shorten the tail section of my exhaust 5 1/2 inches. Make sure to buy x3 4 inch lap joints exhaust band clamps. The clamps that come with the kit are crap ...prone to exhaust leaks. This kit made all the difference that I was looking for and eliminated the drone sound completely from the cab while driving.

Straight piped my 06 Dodge Ram Cummins and lost power from no back pressure. The drone was awful and the cab vibrated. Installed this muffler and I actually enjoy driving my pickup again. Having the back pressure on the turbo helps a great deal. Muffler also makes the sound healthier and deeper out the tailpipe.

I bought this for my early model year 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 with the 5.9L Cummins and it fit great. Sounds good with no noticable drone. My truck is a long bed quad cab model, and I still have the catalytic converter. I'm very happy with the sound, not too loud but with a nice low growl. It was easy to install after removing the stock muffler which was the hardest part. Like the other reviews you will have to cut 4-6" off the tailpipe section behind the muffler. The two hangers also had to be bent slightly to fit the factory mounts, but no big deal. The kit comes with three band clamps and NO instructions, but it's pretty self explanatory. Overall great product and value for a stock 4" pre-2007.5 Ram with the 5.9L Cummins.

I'm 100% happy with this muffler. I've been running a straight pipe for 5 years. I loved it, but I was tired of the truck being loud even just idling around the neighborhood. This is a perfect compromise for me, still much louder and deeper than stock but eliminates that crackle with the straight pipe. I'd estimate 1/2 as loud at idle and 3/4 as loud at WOT.Like the previous review says, there are no instruction of any kind but it's not complicated. Everything fits perfect. If you are modifying a stock system you will need (3) 4" lap joint exhaust band clamps. Or a welder. I already had a delete pipe with the bend so I just installed the muffler and only needed (2) lap joint clamps.Would highly recommend.Edit: By the way. The muffler is directional. Inside it looks like a cheese grater. The manufacturer, MBRP, says the muffler should faceso the exhaust flows over the scallops. Not into them. If that doesn't make sense, it will when you look inside the muffler.Edit 2: The description doesn't say. This is for 2004.5-2007 5.9L Cummins powered Dodge Rams.
