This is a nicely designed item for your fob. But, to hold it in requires a little screw which becomes loose after a while. So you have to remember to consistently tighten it at least once or twice a week. I solved this problem by removing the screw and just using a twist tie and now it works just fine.

Use: RAV4 Hybrid 2021. Just bought the car, 47K miles, so fob looks a bit worn. Wanted to cover with other than a plastic shell. This MECHCOS 'leather' fob cover works and looks great, with a slight mod to personalize. I did not like the nice looking, but heavy key ring. Also did not trust the 1/4 in. leather loop to last. After cutting off the leather loop, I put my steel cable key ring through the holes with the original fob metal ring in place. Premise is that if the leather tears (less likely than the loop), the fob ring will prevent loss. Red stitching looks great, edges are rounded and smooth, fit is perfect. Now the fob looks sporty, classy, and custom, not like a cheap plastic accessory.I'm very happy with the final product and highly recommend--even if you don't cut it up like me.

The keycase seems to be fairly well made, and fits the Toyota keyfob well. One thing is not as depicted in the photos, however, and it's not clear whether this will affect the longevity/durability of the case. In the photos, the leather tab or loop that connects to the clip is a separate piece that threads through the metal ring on the clip, and then attaches to the case with the Chicago screw. However, the one I received has the ends of the leather loop sewed to the keyfob case, and looped through the clip, so it can't be removed without either cutting the metal ring on the clip, or cutting the leather loop. The Chicago screw just goes through the two holes on the case and through the ring on the keyfob, so it helps to hold the fob in, but serves no other purpose. I don't know what this will mean in terms of durability of the loop. I don't really like the clip due to the size and weight, and had planned on not using it. I guess I will end up cutting the metal ring that attaches it to the leather loop.In any event, be aware of this design change.

The leather case fits well and is made of quality leather. It also comes with a second silicone case for your other key which is a bonus and it’s thick quality silicone. I was little shocked at the quality of the product for the price. Would definitely buy again.
