Santa comes down the chimney at our house and leaves a special gift for everyone. Our daughter is notoriously difficult to buy for, never needs or wants anything (till two days before Christmas).One December day she came home from work, leaned over, massaged her lower back and proclaimed, "OMG, all I want for Christmas is a new spine".Do you see where this is going?Santa's elves set about looking for just that and just like the magic of the first winter snow, here was a medical human lumbar spine on Amazon (complete with a bulging disc!)Christmas morning sits a package on the hearth wrapped in Santa paper with a tag that read..."because I'm always listening, love Santa".If you too, would like to surprise a loved one with an anatomically correct spine model, this one is spot on accurate, heavy, and sturdy. It wasn't inexpensive, but is a high quality model. Mamie approved.In case you're wondering, she loved it. Laughed herself silly when she opened it. Of course she named it. Gerald. Gerald S. Pine. I would rate this product ZERO. It is very cheap looking, solid and doesn't move at all, it is one solid piece,not at all like the picture. I threw them away and ordered better ones elsewhere.

I bought this for teaching purposes. It is functional, but it isn't very mobile so you can't demonstrate how the spine moves. The price was good enough however that I did not send it back.
