I have an old Little Tykes easel with a chalkboard on one side and a clip to hang paper on the other. I wanted to use it with my granddaughter and it needs this large size paper. So happy to have this for her! It fits perfectly

The M&D Easel Paper Pad is decent quality. Paper could have been a bit thicker.I was disappointed that I got a damaged pad; one of the vertical sides of the cover along with about 8-10 of the top pages were all damaged and torn.

We have the M&D easel board and hoped that we will get the roll up variety of sheets which can be seamlessly pulled down and worked on and then discarded. This did not work for us, design wise, as my daughter (4 yo) would pull the sheets off very quickly without using the page fully and immediately had access to another sheet right under it. The roll up/pull down variety made it difficult (for now) for her to pull down too many times leaving her with more paper than she could manage. Please offer the rolled up sheets that can go into the easel board

Got this with the 8 jumbo Crayola crayons for a 14 month old. She's 16 months now and loves it even more. The large size of this pad is perfect for baby -- I got some smaller ones too, but she prefers this one. Open it up, sit her in front of it with crayons, show how to use one and then sit back and enjoy the fun. Best to train them to draw on paper early and often to save your walls and furniture. Well, we can hope.I learned in art school early that bigger paper is better --- it's easier to see mistakes on large sizes. You learn more working big. Start the baby off right, with huge bold strokes.

This is great quality paper! We use it on my son's art easel and also just on the floor/table alone. We like it better than the roller paper because to does take paint better and with the clean lines we can hang up my son's finished work. Amazon's great Add-on price makes this a good buy. We will be ordering this again!I did NOT receive a discount in exchange for my review. I purchased this item at the regular Amazon price. I am reviewing this item solely because I want to share my experience with other potential customers. Have a great day and happy shopping. :)

I like the size of the paper for my daughter to have more space to paint and color. However, the paper is too small to really work with the Melissa and Doug easel. It leaves way too much white board exposed. Also, there is no way to attach the entire pad to the easel. You have to take off each piece of paper and clip it up. We end up using it on the floor or the table instead and use rolls of paper on the easel. So far, we have used markers, crayons, paint dotters, and tempura paint on the paper. It has stood up to each of these different mediums. I would feel ok using kids watercolors on it, but I think premixed watercolors would be too wet and bleed through or rip the paper. I like the paper pad, but I think I will stick to the paper rolls for the easel and the oversized white construction paper for the floor/table. The price for the paper pad is a little steep compared to the other options for coloring papers.

If you are an artist, drawer, doodler, crafter, draftsman, sewist, quilter, designer, etc...then this pad is a must-have item. The sheets are large enough to cover a variety of needs (from drafting a quilt pattern to making a large sketch). They are also thin (but not "tracing paper" thin) and have a low crease factor. I've used these pads for life-study drawing, out in my backyard sketching birds, to make a handbag pattern - I've even used them as gift-wrap! Much cheaper than "artist" grade sheets of the same size, but works for all my needs, regardless.

I bought this for my daughter's 5th birthday and she absolutely loves it! She usually has an attention span of only 10-15 minutes and moves on to the next toy, but she'll sit and paint for two hours! My 2 year old son likes the chalkboard side.It is easy to assemble and easy to re-adjust the height for older or younger children. The frame is smooth, solid wood and very sturdy. The plastic trays and wing nuts are also good quality and seem like they will hold up well. I read some reviews before I bought it that the chalkboard was kind of hard to write on unless painted over with special chalkboard paint, but we haven't had any problems with that- the chalk that comes with it writes well and shows up clearly.I would definitely recommend the Melissa & Doug easel for children AND adults. It's that good!
