Worked perfectly. We velcroed the tabs onto the metal bars and it fit perfectly around the sofa bed frame. The pictures of this folding board online make it look huge, but the panels are about 5 to 6 inches each, so it folded up perfectly onto the sofa, along with the mattress on top. Very happy with this item.

This support board was a game changer for me. We've had a sleeper sofa in the basement for years and no one ever wanted to sleep on it because of the metal bar that hits you right in the back. This board fits perfectly and totally takes that metal bar pain away! I also added a mattress topper on top of the mattress to add some thickness. Without the mattress topper on, the sofa bed folded right up. I would highly recommend this!!

I ordered this for my sofa sleeper because my parents were feeling the bar on the frame. While this helped, it wasn't the perfect solution because it doesn't give at all, so the lump can still be felt. The other problem with this is that it is missing two of the velcro ties on the bottom. Why? I don't know, as it looked like a new product, but maybe it was a return.I'm considering returning this, but haven't decided if it's worth it.

We have a sofa bed In our guest house that could probably use a new mattress but I knew that putting something over the bars would be a big help. I ordered a a different brand which I promptly sent back after discovering that you could not put the bed back inside the couch with it on. I love that this one folds right up with bed and actually gives more support when sitting on the couch. The Velcro straps were a bit odd and it seemed like each one was folded a bit diffidently. Some were super easy to wrap around the frame while others had to be peeled apart or twisted in order for them to work. This helps to alleviate the feeling of bars poking through the mattress and makes the bed feel firmer. It fit my mattress and frame perfectly. I do think it is is pricey at 125 bucks when new mattresses for these start around that price. Probably closer to a 3.5 star but I’ll round up since it does what it says.

Let me tell you…this thing worked amazingly for us! My brand new sofa sleeper was so uncomfortable (uneven) and you could literally feel the bar or something under the mattress. I purposely paid more and purchased the thicker upgraded mattress to make sure it stayed comfortable. Well it did not. This bed board fold out easily and provides the perfect amount of covering and support. There are several straps on the top, bottom and sides with Velcro to secure it in place. Quality made and very secure. The sofa sleeper mattress is well supported, no longer lumpy and you can’t feel any railing from the bed. It’s like a foldable box spring for the sofa bed. This is a key piece to comfort and should automatically come with all sofa sleepers. This thing is amazing!

Product was perfect, completely fixed the issue of my sofa bed sagging and has actually made my sofa bed comfortable to sleep in. In my eyes, the product is absolutely worth it. Assembly was extremely simple and my sofa bed folds away with it still in perfectly. The product is heavy as well which means you can tell its good quality. And thank you for the free eye mask as well much appreciated :). 10/10

We have a fold-out sofa which, when folded out, looks almost exactly like the sofa on the product listing: the top 2/3 of it are supporting flexible wooden planks and the bottom third is just fabric on springs that obviously sags. The result is that you have from about lower thigh level you basically have no support. What's worse, you can feel the metal folding frame right before the fabric on springs starts very well, and it's pretty uncomfortable for a night's sleep, especially with a 4" mattress our sofa comes with. As a DIY solution, I put 2 pieces of 3/8" plywood, each about 6" wide, just resting on the metal frame. This resolved the sagging issues as well as the metal bar digging into the thighs issue. The problem for me was that those 2 planks were not attached in any way and moved around every time I opened/closed the bed. When I came across this item, I thought it might be a great solution to permanently resolved this issue. Boy, I was wrong. There are 2 big issues with this support board:1. It's the wrong dimensions. Our fold out bed is 57" across, so I naturally got the Queen size which is also supposed to be 57". Well, it turns that while it's 57" across, it's only 60" long. In other words, it's almost a square. For reference, the actual queen size dimensions are 60x80. Our bed, turned out to be 57x78". It means that the top 18" (or the bottom, depending on your placement) are not covered by this board at all. Not only does this result in uneven support, it also results in this gap of heights between the area covered by the board and the area that isn't. You can feel this gap/step laying on the mattress on top.2. While the 57" is the width from side to side exactly of this board, the actual supporting board is less. About 3/4" on each side is the fabric and the hem. The result is that when you put the weight on this board it just falls through the frame on our bed, unless it itself is supported by something. This, obviously, completely defeats the purpose of the supporting board. In conclusion, I'm giving this board 2 stars instead of just 1 because while it failed in its primary purpose of supporting the weight, it did help to smooth out the area where the metal frame was digging into the thighs. I can still feel, but not it's just a gentle slope down to feet rather than a bump digging into the thighs. Still, would I recommend you spend money on this product thinking it's going to make a world of difference for your fold-out couch bed? No, absolutely not. With proper dimensions that cover the whole bed and efficiently distribute the weight, this product has a promise, but as it currently stands, it's pretty far from there.
