When a new design of the desk zen garden came to Melonva workshop, we were deeply worried. It is just not what we wanted to do. Design by trends.
After that, we have consulted a lot of books, then asked ourselves thousands of times, what does zen spirit really brings to us? How can we make a real desk zen garden with surprises?
One day we had came to visit a master of zen garden (kare sann sui), he had just finished a garden and looked totally exhausted, but he still had a kind smile on his face. We asked why and he said "every movement makes my soul purer, I'm feeling it." We were so surprised about that.
And now, we believe we found it, this is what the surprise we want to add into a desk zen garden, people want peace, the quiet peace.
Quiet peace you can find from every movement enjoying the Zen time.

I wish it had a little more sand. But the kids come in my office and play with it, it has allowed a lot of them to ground themselves. Love this!

I got this for my 10 year old for Christmas as he used a zen garden in therapy and really liked it. I thought this set was adorable (so much more fun than boring brown sand!) and he agrees. He loves all the little pandas and regularly uses this. The size of the set is great for a windowsill and it came with a good amount of sand. The quality is impressive! Would recommend.

Cute but green sand was all over the place when I opened the package. Seller said he would not send more. Luckily they sell more green sand on Amazon. I painted over the weird yellow paw print to make the panda look more natural. I removed the one that looked like it was standing because it was an awkward posture.

This panda zen garden is a nice desk size, and the amount of accessories is just right to fill the scene. The green sand is an even prettier color than in the product photos. I did have a packaging issue -- the bamboo rake was loose in the package, and the heavier accessories probably knocked against it in transit and snapped it along the grain line. However, this was easily fixed with Elmer's glue and binder clips. No problems with the sand, which was double-bagged. I would've given 4.5 stars if possible.

The sand came in a plastic bag. The bag was ripped so I lost a lot of sand. Fun kit though.
