Awful jacket, awful company, awful customer service and now I am stuck with an awful product that the maker doesn’t back! Don’t buy anything from Stormr. The jacket was waterproof for about 3 fishing trips now a cotton shirt sheds water better.

Very disappointed in the craftsmanship on the interior, specifically the glued heated seams, my front right breast pocket came undone after the SECOND use. For the price of this foul weather jacket I expected the craftsmanship to be top notch.

Really great foulie. Though arms are a little short for this size. Also could benefit from a bottom up zipper..

When the zipper is up and I bend over to pick up a rod, the zipper from the bottom up, unzips. I am about 175 and 5' 11". I contacted Stormr to see if they will help me out due to just being out of warranty. Will update this based on there customer service.

Just got the Aero and so far I'm impressed. Before this I had the StormR Fusion and it seems to me that the Aero is the successor...and a serious upgrade. I'm a surfcaster in New England and wanted a flexible jacket that would be suitable in moderate surf over waders as well as a general purpose street raincoat. The features of the Fusion were great and it fit and looked good, but unfortunately the fabric did not seem to be entirely waterproof...a significant shortcoming. It seems the crew at StormR rethought that jacket and offered the Aero as the generation 2. From 100 feet away it looks very similar, but up close you'll see some significant differences. The neoprene panels on the sleeves are gone. The underarm zip vents are gone. The Fusion internal neoprene friction cuffs are gone and replaced with a different approach where the inside of the cuff is lined with a flat band of neo that goes against your wrist, and an external Velcro-fastening strap provides compression to get the cuffs somewhat watertight. The old Fusion cuffs had the external strap as well but still, although they did a pretty good job at reducing water intrusion when your hand is down in the water reviving a striper, there was always some leakage. I've not been in the surf yet with the Aero but the cuffs do seem to leak a bit here as well when tested in 10" of water in my sink. But, the new non-friction cuffs make the jacket effortless to put on and take off... something you couldn't say about the cuffs in the Fusion. The hood is more generously cut. With the Fusion, my waders shoulder straps would compress the shoulder area and the hood would squish against my head. Much better now. Hood can roll up and neatly stow inside the collar too.The pockets are excellent and the same as the Fusion. The zippers have a little hood at the top to prevent water intrusion into that small gap...just like the Fusion.Gone is the mesh liner and the Aero has a nice slick inner liner which does not get hung up on sweaters or flannel shirts like the mesh did. Bravo. The exterior fabric is different too. I'd describe it as VERY lightweight but very tough. That is...it feels like the whole jacket weighs a half-gram...yet the outer fabric feeels pretty substantial and tough...way more solid than a windbreaker. StormR seems to have some upgraded specs on breathability AND waterproofing. Yes! The collar comes up like a turtleneck when fully zipped and is pretty comfortable...no actual neo or latex gasket at neck as it's not a real dry top.So there you go... I see it as a significantly upgraded Fusion...and on first week of wearing every day, I like it a lot. If you had to have ONE jacket do triple duty for surf and jetty, boat and beach...and street..this is it. It looks good and feels good. Note that although I tested the jacket in the shower and it appears to withstand five minutes of solid -rain" I have not been in the surf yet...and perhaps more importantly, in a solid downpour for an hour...a zone where the Fusion did not succeed. I'll report back when I've actually been in the surf. For now, a guarded five stars. And I can verify that StormR customer service is very, very good if you have questions or need problems addressed.
