I ordered these STONEKISS Men's Basketball Compression Padded Shorts for wearing while mountain biking. If your like me and mountain bike aggressively you're going to fall. After a side/hip impact injury I started looking for various padded short I could wear for protection while biking. I got another brand however the pads were so large it was a little cumbersome and uncomfortable.I feel like these offer the right mix of comfort and protection. They are lightweight too. The 5 protection pads are in the critical areas yet you don't really feel them while wearing the compression shorts. They easily fit under your athletic shorts or sweats. I can't rate them a five yet until I take a spill with them on and hopefully that's later rather than sooner.NOTE: I ordered a large as that's what I usually wear. They were pretty tight. I went back and reviewed the sizing chart and should have ordered a Xl or even XXL. Use the sizing chart!

I'm still debating if this is worth $34.99 as it provides very little protection. The good news is that you can't really tell that you are wearing a padded boxer short as it does feel comfortable. I do like the fact that it felt comfortable, but I'm weary as how well it will protect me in a fall. The sides doesn't seem to protect my hip bone, and the back protect the crack area more than it would my tailbone and just right below it. For what it is, it's a comfortable padded short, as for the protection level from 1-10, I would give it a 3.5 as there is some pads and it's better than no pads.for size reference, I'm 5'9" 165lbs - 170lbs (depending on the day...lol) and X-Large fits perfectly. Now onto what I don't like. It came in that clear plastic bag you see in my pictiure. Yup! no additonal packaging, very poorly package and gods know how many ppl took it out to take a peek at it during the whole process. That itself deserve a zero star.I end being generous and gave it a 2 star for the fact that there is some paddings on the compression short. 1 star for comfort, 1 for the paddings. Can't come up with any other reason to give it a 3rd star.Final decesion. I think you can find better at $35.

Diving into the rough and tumble of youth basketball, my 8th grader found a bit secret weapon in these Basketball Padded Shorts. They've been a slam dunk for boosting his confidence hustling and getting after those loose balls. The added protection seems to have unlocked a new level of boldness in his game. He's driving harder, jumping higher, and not shying away from contact. And as a dad, seeing him play without fear of getting banged up is fun, and that confidence will help him level up going into high school. The shorts fit snugly, offering just the right amount of padding without impeding his movements. He's mentioned how they're comfortable enough to forget he's wearing extra gear, which is exactly what you want. They are a little short so they don't offer a lot of protection on the thigh (Quad / Hamstring.)To sum up, if your young athlete is looking to step up their game with a little extra on-court protection, these padded shorts are a solid bet. Thanks for reading, and here's to playing hard and safe!

These are advertised as being for basketball, but I will actually be using them for skiing and mountain biking. If you ski or trail ride aggressively, there will be falls and many will involve hip or backside impacts. I saw these and thought they would be great based on other reviews and their padding locations. The padding on these is also not as overwhelmingly large as some of the 'biking' or 'skiing' marketed ones which I liked. These are very comfortable and can easily be layered over with your favorite riding gear or ski pants without big bulging pads pushing out awkwardly. But they have enough protection in all the key areas to ease the impact of either a backside or hip impact which is what I wanted them for.I really like these but the biggest thing I can stress for anyone looking at them is to believe the sizing chart on the web page. I am 5-9 and 162 pounds and typically wear a medium in everything. I ordered the XL based on their size chart and they fit relatively snug. I am right on the edge of the size large, and those may have fit as well, but the XL are definitely not too big. So if you are in need of padded compression shorts I would not hesitate to get these. Just make sure to order off of their chart and not your normal size.

I was expecting good thing about this short due to its design and technology. It has been nothing but disappointment. I followed its size chart to order. I am 155lb, so I order large size. It turns out to be very tight. In addition, the material is cheaply made. I do not recommend this product.

Even though I'm getting older, my passion for extreme sports like skateboarding and dirt biking hasn't faded. However, my body doesn't handle falls as well as it used to, especially after a recent hip injury. I started searching for padding that could provide some confidence while protecting my aging body, and these pads turned out to be the perfect solution. They fit snugly and offer just the right amount of protection without feeling overly bulky. I was a bit puzzled by the sizing chart provided in the listing; the numbers didn't align with my 32" waist pants size and 165-pound weight. Taking a chance, I ordered an XL, and they fit perfectly. I also think I could have gone for an XXL, but the XLs provide an excellent fit.If you're like me, in need of a little extra protection for your extreme sports endeavors, these pads are worth checking out. They're well-crafted and provide effective protection, making sure your body stays a bit less bruised after those inevitable falls.
