My husband has the coldest feet, all the time. He really likes these socks.

These heated socks are comfortable to wear. The cord that goes from near the top of the sock to the bottom isn't noticeable when wearing them stationary, a minor bit when moving a bunch, but really only noticeable if the sock gets tugged. The inner material is also comfortable and is unnoticeable. The battery is not noticeable either unless pressure is put on it. I've worn these for multiple hours at a time and they haven't bothered me.The inner material had a pretty pungent smell initially. I didn't notice it until I took the socks inside out to hand wash them. However, after washing them, they no longer stink. I washed the socks first before I wore them. The instructions say to hand wash only. Some other heated socks do say you can machine wash them although they should be put into a laundry washing bag. I feel like that's probably the case for these too, but regardless the more these toss and turn, the higher chance of earlier failure I suppose, so hand wash for best care. The heating element is only at the top of the foot. The heat unfortunately doesn't reach the toes. The heating element is roughly in the middle of the black area at the bottom of the sock, about 3" the length of the sock and 2" the width. The socks don't get that toasty on the highest setting, but they do get warm. The sock materials are fairly insulating too. The battery indicates a max of 8 watts which isn't much, but comparing to some other USB and battery-heated stuff I have of similar wattage, I think it should be warmer than it is. I don't have a way to test if these socks are actually pulling 8 watts but I'm guessing they aren't.Overall, these are decent heated socks. They would've been better if they heated at least a bit of the toes though, as that's where heat is needed the most. The warmth does build up, but it would've been better if they output a bit more heat too. Regardless, in most cases, unless you're wearing these in sandals in very cold temperatures, they should get warm enough.

I bought these heated socks for my 82 year old Mom who has cold feet. She loved them.

My wife loves these socks. This pair took about 3 hours to charge out of the box and then were worn for 6-7 hours before they died and then about 6 hours to charge them back up. The even (no hot spots) and adjustable heat is produced by a pad that wraps from top to bottom around the toes and back to about the ball of your foot. No bulging wires to step on but there is a small wire that runs along the upper edge of the outside of your foot from the heating pad to the battery pack but my wife says she doesn't notice that. The battery pack is fairly thin but bulges slightly with snug fitting pants and the socks are knee high. The socks are soft, comfortable and stretch quite a bit so should fit a wide range of shoe sizes. My wife wears a size 7 and these are a little big for her but not enough that she notices while wearing them. The material that covers the heating pads is comfortable but I don't know how well it would stand up to daily wear as it seems a bit thin. They are meant for outdoor activities/sports and such so I don't know if they'd last as work socks but maybe?UPDATE: After wearing these socks four different times, my wife tried to gently pull one of them up and she could feel a wire pull loose or something internally. The sock got very hot in one spot so she pulled it off immediately. We tried it again after unplugging and plugging it back in but it no longer heated up. So the socks are comfortable but did not last more than a week and a half with very few uses.

Heated socks have become everyday wear for me once the cold weather sets in.I wanted to give these socks a better rating, but in fairness they fall just a tad short compared to other socks I have previously rated with 4 stars. Being OK in most ways and not too bad in others just does not add up to being good.Size large fits my 12W foot pretty well and they work pretty close to the described heating regimen. The external button control is a plus compared to others where you must acess and press button on battery itself to turn up or down. In most aspects they are well constructed with suitably thick/ warm/ comfortable material. Generally, quite comfortable and practical for house slipper wear and light boots/ running shoes in cool temperatures. If this is your planned use and you can get these at good sale price you will likely be pleased. As for the not so good….At the end of several uses under various conditions the toe & under foot areas are consistently damp. Moisture does not help to warm feet and is related to increased odor retention. Poor wicking of primarily cotton material is my assessment. Rarely is any moisture present with my other socks, possessing healthy % of wool and/ or other moisture wicking content.Slightly bunchy at the toe area where material is two layers thick. Not too bad of an issue with slippers or my light boots but very noticeable/ uncomfortable with an added over sock in my larger insulated boots.Exceedingly tight fit putting battery in zippered pocket. The wire plugs in to the side of the battery and maneuvering it past the zipper is a real struggle trying not to harm the wiring. So I removed the zippers. First cut along the zipper with a razor blade knife and then used scissors to trim remaining zipper material up to the pocket hem. Oh yeah, don't nick the wire doing this. Pocket alone is now appropriately snug for battery.
