I had JUST purchased another brand wide brim hat for the upcoming summer when I saw this ZEXIAN Men & Women Wide Brim Sun Hat with Removable Face and Neck Flap. While both had UPF 50+ UV Protection, this product provided the face shield along with the neck flap -- both of which are removable/stowable. We have lakes around and reflection off the water can burn parts of my face and neck that don't regularly see the light of day! All that work keeping off sun spots can be reversed in a day! I can report that the face mase is loose and "breathable", and is only attached with velcro - YMMV.Regarding sizing: since it's designed for men and women, it's generous in size, yet it fits me fine, and has an adjustable clip to make it tighter. Regarding Color: "Beige" is more like very light gray on gray, which is exactly what I wanted in a sun hat! It arrived in a generous flat box, meaning the brim was perfect right out of the package. However, it is bendable and packable.

I used this wide brim fishing ponytail sun hat on a recent fishing trip, and it gave me great sun protection. The UPF 50+ fabric feels light and breathable, and the wide brim covers my face well. I liked that the face and neck flap are removable, so I could adjust it depending on how much coverage I wanted. The ponytail opening is big enough to fit my hair comfortably without pulling. One helpful tip is to use the adjustable straps to keep the hat secure on windy days. It’s been a practical and comfortable hat for outdoor activities.

Would of given 5 stars except my hair got stuck in the velcro hooks on each side of face shield. Snaps would be better for me. I took a batch of pics so you could see construction of hat. It really is well made. Stitching is even, threads are all trimmed. Seams are either serged or clean finished. Brim is nice and wide and the rows of stitching is attractive. I did sprinkle some water on it and it beads up. With the ventilation on sides and the seaming around top of head, you will get wet...But that said, this is a good hat for wind and sun protection. I surf fish and this hat will be good to have on the beach. The protective flap at the back of the hat will be nice tucked in to the collar of my jacket. It does have a snap to roll it up and out of the way. The face shield will be very nice to have as protection against wind and sand. The breathing mesh area is very nice to have. Shields without this tend to steam up my glasses as breath is directed up. The hat has plenty of room. About 24" around head. I usually wear a scarf or an extra hood under my fishing attire so this will be perfect. I can roll this hat up and stash it in my fishing bag easily.

I live in the southeast where it can get scorching hot and stay that way for most of the year. We are outside a lot doing gardening and yard work. Sun protection is of utmost importance so I ordered this set of sun protection hats. What I like (and there's a lot) is that the hat has an adjustable fit. There is a drawstring on the back that can be adjusted to fit many head sizes. My husband and I can wear the same hat! Secondly, the brim is wide enough to provide ample sun protection for my head, ears and nose. The back flap covers my neck and it can be rolled and snapped up. The front flap is velcroed and can be removed. I like that feature because I want to wear it while cutting grass and remove it afterward. It is lightweight and dries quickly. I am VERY pleased with this set of hats and wish I had ordered them sooner!!! Can't wait to wear them on the boat or in the pool also!

I've been keeping my eye out for good sun protection in recent years, as I'm keen on holding of aging for myself, and keeping my husband protected with his family history of cancerous skin cells. These caps seem to offer great protection.The cap material on these hats is very light. At first I was put off by how thin it was, but realized that this will be just perfect for the hot weather this summer when the sun is blazing hot. The thin material paired with the mesh make it very breathable. It's very comfortable, and I forget I'm wearing it. I can see this easy to wear for long periods in the sun. The brim is thick and sturdy and reasonably wide. I like that there are many ways to wear this hat depending on how protective you want this to be. The back neck flap covers my neck completely and part of my shoulders. The front gator when attached, covers not only my face and neck but also my upper chest. There are even snaps that connect the flaps so you can get full circle coverage. The back flap can be rolled up when you want a lighter hat. The front gator can be removed, or is thin enough material that it can be tucked up into the hat without adding bulk, so you don't have to detach and inevitably lose it. The chin strap keeps it from flying away, and the hole in the back is perfect for my ponytail to pop out without having to stuff it awkwardly into my hat. These are not exactly fashionable, but I love that my husband and I now have matching hats that are super practical and protective. Overall, I'm pretty happy with these hats.

Very comfy and provides great coverage against the sun and UV rays! Per my dermatologist, I need to make sure I use sunscreen and cover up more. Baseball caps and hats offer some protection but this hat covers your head, neck and if you want, your face as well which is great coverage! I chose the beige color rather than a dark color. The hat size is large which is great for my big head, but it does have an interior pull string inside the headband that allows you to make the head circumference smaller for smaller heads which is nice. The face covering is easy to attach or remove. I can see the face covering as a benefit not just for blocking the sun/UV rays but for me it’s a great shield for when I use the string trimmer / weed whacker to trim the grass - it blocks any stray debris / dust that can fly up at you(be sure to also wear eye protection) ! The mesh vent along the side and back of the hat also are a nice feature to keep things cooler as well as the nice long drawstring ! I’m very pleased with this great sun hat !
