Meowy Janes Ultra Blend is a delightful blend of Catnip, Silvervine and Valerian Root
Cats will experience a more powerful, intense longer lasting reaction with this blend.

Catnip, Slvervine and Valerian Root are plants that elicit fun behavioral responses in cats, but they have some differences in their effects & the way cats react to them:
Catnip: When a cat plays with catnip, they may exhibit behaviors such as rolling, rubbing, purring, and hyperactive play. It is estimated that around 50-70% of cats are sensitive to catnip.
Silvervine: Silvervine can elicit similar reactions in cats as catnip. The effects of silvervine last longer than catnip, often up to 30 minutes. Silvervine tends to be more universally appealing to cats.
Valerian Root: Cats are known to be attracted to valerian root due to its strong smell and the compounds it contains. Valerian can have a similar effect on cats as catnip but appeals to some cats in a different way.
A blend of all three of these cat attractive plants is a great way to ensure that there is something for every cat.

Silvervine (Actinidia polygama)
Also known as matatabi in Japan, silvervine is a climbing plant native to Asia. It has been used in traditional Asian medicine and as a cat attractant for many years. The naturally occurring active compounds in silvervine responsible for cats reaction is actinidine.
Valerian Root (Valeriana Officinalis)
Cats are known to be attracted to valerian root primarily due to its strong smell and the natural compounds. Valerian root contains a chemical compound called actinidine, which is similar to the active ingredient found in catnip, nepetalactone. Actinidine can have a similar effect on cats as catnip.

my cats do not react to catnip alone so I thought a product like this might be better. The smell is strong, it smells like dirty feet. But alas, my cats still don't care.

Mixed bag of like and dislike here. You get plenty in the resealable container. Two of my cats like it, one loves it (puts him to sleep) one gets the zoomies from it and another despises it. I find it rather repulsive smelling, however after a few minutes I don't notice the smell so much and for what its worth to calm my one cat down its almost worth it. A tad on the spendy side in my opinion and I don't know if I would order it again just because of the smell. I sure that its the natural smell of the herbs but I don't care for it much. Overall it does what it is intended for.

I had a 1/4 of a bag of powder catnip left on the cat stuff box that an occasional visiting old grey bony very verbal adorable cat called Meow-meow.(I Forgot to put away🤯!! She ATE the majority of it one night & next night thought she was chasing a crickit or just batting at moths or something. She was getting the rest of it!! I snatched it!! She's1/2 the size of all the others and her growl is fierce, even when she's eating.( I have various outdoor escapees from rescue around here somewhere) found THIS right near other online was just out of stock. This finely chopped but does have a little powder. Has Silvervine as well. (It's not readily Known as a "catnip" but it, Valerian root, & even Lavender are good to some. Id almost gave up but it & my previous one but with different combinations, it's funny to put out on newspaper because they usually drool, throw little Shiney things, gets their attention. BUT when their eyes are fully dilated, be calm...Carefully give a little rub on the head & usually my Titan Sized, mostly ALPHA Female, Finicky, Feral Felines usually tend to have A sense of peace.. oh no, that's me. 😊No males showed up & they're àre couple more of my neighbors inherited some & they sneak back & forth. I'll leave a little treat w/some nippy Stuff around it on different places. I think that some of them never had it before. If you feed at certain times, give it after they've eaten. I still want to get powdered stuff For "cat mats" but this is a good quality, good texture, & a great cat nip NAP for most. I like it & I think I'm on my 2nd bottle. Impressed. So many different felines & they all RE-act so differently especially if they have never had it. It might make some a little paranoid, seriously. I think I will make a few cat-mats w/it. Really like it!!I have a cat rodeo just about every day so I've actually gottenTo see all diff. Cats. & their re-actions. I see a definite preference of this vs. other same old stuff. This is GOOD stuff!! Decent Price & a little bit does go a long Long way!!😾😺😻🙀💕🐈⬛🐈

Talk about getting your kitty all wound up! My cats were going crazy as soon as I took the container out of the shipping box. I let them smell the container before I even opened it and my cat just tried to grab it with his paws while meowing profusely! What a fiend!It’s definitely potent and the smell might seem a bit stinky, but we put it on our cats’ play rugs and toys so we had no problem experiencing our personal household items stinking.It’s been a few months now and product is still as potent and gets same reaction from our cats.

The 1st order that I had placed. The smell of valerian roots was strong and the cats love it so much. This 2nd order is disappointing and the cats don’t have much reaction to it. I had tried it a number of times, shaked the bottle but none, just plain catnip smell.

This is a nicely packaged product .Unfortunately my cats are snobs. They only want catnip They didn't like the addition of the 2 other ingredients
