Worked as advertised and easy to install. I found a Youtube video that explained how to install it. It took less than an hour. I bet if I did it again, I could do it in 15 minutes. I did break one of the cheap plastic clips that hold in the back inside cosmetic panel. There are probably 20 of these clips. I suspect the Mercedes mechanics don’t even both trying to save the clips and just rip off the panel. I recommend getting pricing on a bag of clips. If you don’t, no big deal. If you are careful when you take them off, you will probably not damage any of them. This was definitely worth doing myself rather than taking my GL450 to the dealer.

This thing rocks. 2007 ML 150k miles. lift gate suddenly wouldn't unlock at all except from inside. 15 minutes of work and $300 and it is fixed. Figure this would have been $1000+ job for dealer. SUPER easy.

This fit perfectly on my 2006 ml500. My old part was 164 740 00 35, so this was indeed a drop in replacement for that part.

On my 2008 R320 fits and works perfect even seller info says no.( As update version it does show on list parts for my vehicle)

Price was best I could fine. It arrived in good condition however it did not contain any warranty info. Part was exact fit.
