I wanted to purchase the same set that I actually learned on at a private studio. Really great quality and easy to put together. Just exactly what I thought it would be. It is exactly as pictured. You have to buy the manuals for actual exercise use separately. (This company has the best manuals. Loads of information and good pictures.) A local delivery company delivered it to our home. Does arrive in a LARGE and very heavy crate. Best to deliver it to garage and move it piece by piece from there.

I’ve taken hundreds of Pilates reformer classes over the years, but when I moved, the closest studio was a 30 minute drive. Yes, the cost is steep, but it worked out to what I’d pay for about a year and a half of classes. This is the same machine the studios use so it was very easy and natural to use.Love the convenience of having this in my home, I can just hop on before work, during lunch, after work, without worrying about finding an empty spot in a class, driving, gas, and timing. I find myself using it far more often than the 2 classes I could squeeze in a week.Amazon had a great discount on this machine around the holidays, plus I had some American Express points that I used to further get the cost down. The shipping was FREE for prime members. If ordered direct from the manufacturer, it’s several hundred dollars in shipping. You can schedule a time slot for when it will arrive and it was delivered on a palette. It wasn’t difficult at all to put together, it comes 90% assembled so you just need to install the frame (which was easy), slide the carriage on and set up the ropes and springs. It also wasn’t as heavy as I expected and has wheels on one end so you can easily push it around.I was nervous making such a large purchase but everything was smooth and you can register for the warranty on the manufacturers site.Super pleased!

This is an awesome piece of equipment! If you are a Pilates enthusiast, beginner, or recovering from injuries (with the approval of your PT and/or doctor), then I recommend investing in this. It also advisable to take a few local reformer classes. I’m recovering from multiple injuries and reformer Pilates has been a wonderful recovery program.. As you can see, my equipment is pink (I love pink!), because I custom ordered my equipment directly from Merrithew as part of a larger package, but if you are not picky about the color, then order the base color from Amazon as you will receive it a lot sooner, the costs would be cheaper as there is a bit of a cost increase to get custom colors, not to mention some banks charge a hefty international fee. Anyhow, you will not be disappointed with this equipment as well as Merrithew has awesome customer service and an awesome warranty on their large equipment.
