This headset pairs with others of itself, other brands of intercoms, older EJEAS intercoms, and even with basic Bluetooth headsets (shorter range there), very versatile, with good sound quality. It does use the USB-C charge port for the headset port as well, the instructions say it can charge while in use, but I'm not sure how (I tried a USB-C OTG splitter adapter without success) when the headset needs to use that port, but that's a relatively rare thing to need.It says it'll pair up to six of itself in a full-chat mode, or unlimited in listen-only, so the potential for a portable conference while on the road, ski slopes, bike ride, etc., is pretty impressive.I like that it will also pair with a Bluetooth headset, so you can use a single unit of this with about any Bluetooth headset for a local intercom, you're limited to Bluetooth range at that point, but can use it with nearly any earbuds, noise cancelling headset, or similar. It does appear that using it as that, limits out being able to use it with the mesh network option, but for a rider/passenger intercom, it's pretty handy.I'm a bit "on the fence" about liking or not liking the ear speakers--they have a nice comfy leather-ish padded earcup, but that makes them bulkier than strictly needed, they're about twice as thick as other ear speaker units I've used. If your helmet has room, it's not an issue, but if it natively squishes your ears, adding these will probably be uncomfortable. I have a helmet that has ear pockets, and one that doesn't; I don't like how these feel in the one without pockets. This comes with both a boom mike and a mounted mike, so it's got some versatility for whichever works better for you. The USB-C headset port does allow for some options for alternate headsets if you're not wanting to use the one that they supply. It'll also pair up with up to two phones, can use for music or phone calls, and auto-prioritizes phone calls above intercom, then returns back to the intercom when you end the call. The one feature I wish it had that I've not found on anything so far, is to conference-in a Bluetooth headset onto the intercom--this one is close, it can do Bluetooth, it can do intercom, it just doesn't join the two. Maybe in a next firmware update or next generation headset. It'd be nice to have that option of both rider and passenger being connected to the riding group and each other through the ride without having to wire between each other.

The box and packing are pretty normal (it's a good place to skimp on cost). Came with everything needed. 2 mics, one boom mic and one soft wired mic. 2 helmet mounts, one stick on and one clip on. Also good instruction manual (this was nice). I used the clip on type mount. The mounts (both of them) don't seem to have a positive lock on them, so the head set doesn't "click" into place, but works all the same. Pairing to my phone was simple and painless, no complaints here. I tried to pair it to my sena, but I never got them to pair. This could be because of the sena, but idk. Before writing this review, I tried pairing to a set of ear phones I have. This was so quick, I wasn't even sure they paired, but sure enough, paired and gtg. I'd imagine this will pair to a different headset just as easily. I'm assuming that my sena was the culprit of the pairing process, but I can't confirm this as it's my only other headset. This seems to be pretty good. It's definitely loud, louder than my sena sf2. But it's also much bigger than my sf2. The FM radio does work, and is easy to use. I more interested in listening to music on my phone, taking calls and etc. This headset did all those things. I haven't had a conversation while riding yet, so I can't comment on call quality with the mic, but the volume through the speakers is quite good (loud). The speakers are very padded and might be to thick for your helmet, but it feels like the padding will peel off. You can also "dish" the speaker ports on your helmet, if you dare (want to).My only complaint is the wires that plug into the headset. It's a USB type c port, but there's 3 wires coming from that port and they're not bonded together. These wires could easily be bonded together to make for a nicer (cleaner) install. I used heat shrink tubing to clean this up, but it should be done from the manufacturer. The headset easily comes off the helmet mount for charging, if you want. Again, it seems to easy to remove. There should be a "positive lock".I can't complain, a Sena or Cardo that has the features this does, is 4x more expensive. As long as you can pair this to other brands, it's a winner and priced fair.**update**Went for a (solo) ride, sound is good and plenty loud. Even at 70+. Headset did fine for listening to music.

But I am a machinery operator, and was looking for a better way to communicate with my driver when I am up on a platform on my highlift. I like the fact that I can communicate directly headset to headset, without having to have a phone signal or having to push to talk a walkie talkie. These units allow me to communicate immediately, hands free, with those on my team on the ground or in the air. I will take some pictures and show you tomorrow what I am doing, as I need to replace the digital antenna on my house with something that picks up more of a signal. I got one of these first, to check out if what I was thinking was feasible, and got the second one today. Tomorrow, I put my plan to the test. The headsets worked GREAT! I've always used hand signals to communicate with my driver, but there is nothing like being able to communicate directly when moving in close proximity to something when you are 40 feet in the air. After the project was done, I walked about a quarter of a mile to the edge of my property - they still worked - loud and clear! I did connect them with my cell phone - that was very easy to do. The clarity when playing music was really, really good. This was pretty simple to do. Being able to unplug the speakers and just push the small connector through a hole I made in the ear muffs made the installation really easy. Nicely thought out design - and good directions to use the unit.

Buttons are fairly easy to operate w/ normal riding gloves (and without difficulty locating). Range is ok. Not my favorite comm system, but not bad. I've loaded it onto a spare helmet for passengers (when needed).
