Got a TP-Link Tapo video doorbell and my porch light caused some lens flare. I also wanted to add a little protection from rain. This is a large doorbell, larger than most due to its bigger battery, and it fit perfectly with this cover. It eliminated the lens flare from the porch light and that greatly improved the night time clarity. If your doorbell release is on the top like mine is, I suggest allowing at least a half inch of space at the top so it's still accessible if you need to remove the doorbell. Having it lower will also minimize the top of the metal cover appearing on camera. Overall, I think this is a great accessory and I can't imagine having a video doorbell without it.

Must have if you have no covering on your porch. I have went through two blink cameras due to rain and moisture getting in the lens. I tried tape and everything on the top. Due to us having no porch covering I ordered this. Glad I did , I haven't had any issues at all. It's a solid piece, worth every penny.

This is listed to work with the Ring Pro/Pro2/Plus doorbell but this thing is huge. I was hoping for a snugger fit and sides that don’t stick out so far. This is so huge it actually blocks the side camera angles limiting your view. If they made one that was actually made for the smaller, thinner more streamlined Ring Pro/Pro2/Plus it would be great but this is not it.

It fit well and it is pretty sturdy but I wish there were a cross member across the bottom to keep the unit from bending and it would make the installation easier. We'll see how it holds up I just installed it on 3/11/2024

It is sturdy and will do well, it's a good value.However, with the Ring electric pro it is too large (1/2" over the entire unit)Ideally, I would like to have it nest behind the doorbell, but now I have to mount it to the outsides.Thought about returning it, but haven't decided yet.

Very easy to install, just unscrew doorbell put this on, then screw doorbell. Before this, I had a problem with my doorbell at night. The glare of the lights on my house affected the IR lights, so I wasn’t able to see anything at night. This cover blocks the light glare from my house so my camera now works at the expected capacity.
