When the bell sings it gives a comforting deep bass tone. Struck with force it amazes me at just how loud it is. I feel it in my head as an energizing force. The lightest touch of the striker gives a soft, lingering note that centers in my chest leaving me with a sense of wholeness. And the raw, hammered finish looks cool.

Love this! I did not have high expectations for this as I was not sure what I would get. However, I have a passion for lovely items and there is something about this piece that hits all of the right heart strings! First, it was packaged in country specific newspaper that was (in my opinion) adorable and added to the charm oddly enough :) the material is strong and heavy. the overall size of the bell is a LARGE bell but not overbearingly so. I want to put this in my office when it is completed, however, I ordered it during the holiday season and it sat on my table top after arrival but blended in with the decor so easily that it stayed there and was beautiful all season through

This cowbell is awesome. It has a beautifully rustic look, it is solid yet also comfortably light. Most of all, it sounds incredible. It has a long ringing haunting bell tone that I personally use for percussion as an enhancement. It always adds a certain dimension to my sound. As decor, it works equally as well as it really does look great. Great sound, great quality….. Great Cowbell!

The bell came wrapped in newspaper from India which was fabulous touch of authenticity. It's very large and beautiful which we love. It doesn't give off a prefab, there is a million of them. It has some dents and uneven seems which is fantastic, since it's handmade vs mass produced. The sound of it reminds me of a cow bell on a farm which reminds me of my childhood. I was really impressed when I opened this up. You could hang it up outside, but we left it inside to hear the sound. It doesn't have a tin-y sound, this is a deep, pleasant sound. The texture difference is also very nice-it has rope, metal and wood.

This bell was made in India of iron sheet, hand hammered, and then baked in a fire oven. It looks rough-hewn and rustic, which I thinks adds to the authenticity. It apparently is made by Indian families, so getting one supports the small business person and craftsman. It arrived wrapped in a Hindi language newspaper, which was cool. It's suspended by a thick jute rope, and had a big wooden clapper inside, suspended by wire.I mounted it on the underside of my Cedar wood covered from porch, and people can use it as a "doorbell" if they care to.It's quite loud and exotic sounding, and is a conversation starter when my guests enter my home.I have the 11" one, because I knew I would have it at the front door.
