I got this for my Anderson windows that were installed almost 20 years ago and they fit perfectly. They were easy to install and the color matches perfectly to my other latches. I needed to replace 2 broken latches and they have worked out great. They fit well, are similar in size and seem high quality. Decent buy.

I live in a coastal area where the salty air tends to corrode metal quickly, so I was looking for a durable replacement for my window locks. This one has been installed for a few months now, and thereโs no sign of rust or wear. The zinc alloy construction seems to be holding up well, even with frequent rain and humidity. Great product for those in tough climates!

The product itself is solid and well-made. The holes align perfectly with my older Andersen 200 series window, and only 5min takes to replace. Once installed, it works fine.

This Anderson Windows sash lock is a direct third-party replacement part that fits perfectly!!!๐ I had a window where the sash lock failed when the retaining washer under the swing arm became dislodged. I looked up a factory replacement part and suffered sticker shock immediately!!!!๐ฎ The cost of an OEM latch was cost-prohibitive. I looked for an alternative part that matched not only the configuration of the factory sash lock but also was the same color as the rest of my factory locks. THIS IS THE UNIT I FOUND THAT FITS THE BILL TO A TEE!!๐ It had the exact dimensions as the OEM sash lock and the color was a direct match!! NICE!!!! The best part was the low price of this replacement compared to the cost of a factory part. Installing the new sash lock was a breeze. The brace portion of the lock is held in place with two screws. The moving lock arm portion of the sash lock is held in place the same as the brace. Simply remove the two screws from each component and remove the old lock. Place the new components in the same locations as the old lock. Line up the holes on the metal components with the existing screw holes. Place each screw into the screw holes and tighten with a Phillips head screwdriver. CAUTION: DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE SCREWS!!!! Overtightening the screws could lead to the striping out of the existing threads cut by the original screws that held the parts in place. Turn the screws until they make flush contact with the respective component. Then give the screws one or two turns to snug up the fastener. That's all there is to replacing the sash lock on an Anderson Window!! ๐ฉI rate this product a solid 10 out of 10 because of the low price, the quality of the replacement parts, and the exact match of the color of the replacement part to the other factory locks. This is a simple fix that anyone can perform themselves. The only tool you will need is a #2 Phillips head screwdriver. Save some hard-earned money by purchasing this high-quality replacement part and installing the part yourself!!! ๐

I had one window with such a sash lock that was drafty, and realized the lock was worn and not closing tightly the window panes resulting in a lousy seal at the bottom and top. I rushed to replace the lock as soon as I got this and it makes a world of a difference. This lock has far less play in the moving part and keeps the panes properly positioned to each other, sealing well the window pane.

Almost everything about this window lock is great, it is durable, an accurate fit to the specified windows, the paint job is good, functions well as a lock, simple to install. The one caveat is the screws included strip easily, when installing use extra precautions (as large a driver bit as possible, sandwich a used balloon, rubber washer, rubber band, etc in between the bit and the screw head to minimize damage and increase driver grip).
