- The soldering cardtridge was already used right out of the box with solder on the end and it doesn’t work.- Someone swapped it for their broken soldering cartridge is what happened. Not impressed.-I have ordered another one because it’s needed for ground planes.-Refunding my order STTC-117 will change my review and to 5 out of 5.

I don't use this one very often, but on those rare occasions that you are soldering to a fat power plane or a component with high thermal-mass, this tip is indispensable.

Works great with my Metcal MX-500. It heats up fast, and transfers heat to the part exceptionally well. Because of the built-in temperature control, there's no guess work trying to dial in the proper temperature!

It's a Metcal tip. It's the hot model. If you have a Metcal you will like this tip.
