These fit perfect. I'm in a 05 Honda Civic. I should of took photos of the process but forgot to 😅.Use the two little bulbs to put into the bottom two stock holes to get everything lined up. I used a while paint marker to poke into and mark the holes where I chose to drill (or you can probably just run a sheet metal screw through). Can't remember the drill bit size at the moment but can update this later. Everything screwed together and the mount is on there solid. Something extra I did was take an adhesive foam sheet and traced the mount, then stuck the adhesive to the back of the mount. So this would sandwich the foam between the car metal and the mount plastic. I figure this will help if any rattle wanted to develop.Overall this was a perfect fit for my speakers/car door! Some people seem to be experiencing issues with their speakers not fitting. I'd say higher end speakers with massive magnets will probably need a bit more of a custom mount instead of this. I think sometimes those type of speakes have slightly different dimensions than a standard 6.5" speaker. Coukd be wrong though.. I feel like it's something you should plan on if you go the higher end route. Plus customization would make your build that much more special.

Got these for 2001 Honda Civic LX Coupe. First thing to check is whether your 6.5" speakers will fit. If your aftermarket speakers are 6.5" shallow mount they will fit fine in the bracket as it is....however if they are regular deep mount you will have to shave/cut off the edge of the elongated plastic holes in order for the speakers to fit. As some others have noted the 2 plastic pegs that stick out on the door side of the bracket are meant as a guide b/c you will have to drill (3) holes with a 1/8" bit. Stick the 2 pegs in 2 bottom factory slots where the bottom of the factory bracket would normally clip in....then drill your holes. Use self tapping screws.

They work great, don't listen to the dummies that say 6.5" speakers will not fit, or they will not fit a Honda Civic. If you can't figure these out, then stop, don't do anymore damage to your vehicle...

Ironically, they are a tad bit oversized for the door trim panel, but they did bolt up, and line up fine. There’s 2 little nubs on the back to line up with the factory mounting holes. Make sure you get 8mm metal self tappers to drill through your door to hold the brackets

BEWARE! DOES NOT FIT either the front door or the rear deck of the 2004 HONDA CIVIC 4 DOOR SEDAN. I am pretty creative and tried to modify one of the units to serve, but the design is not even close to the dimensions of either the factory openings or the Kicker DSC650 speakers that the product descriptions say are supposed to fit. I was finally forced to take the OEM factory speakers apart and cut them down to their frame bases, to use as mounting retainers. I also had to cut small slots into the edge of the new Kicker frames to allow screw clearance as well as get longer screws. Fortunately I own a very nice Dremel tool and was able to use a cutting wheel to do the job. I had opened both packages based on the marketing assurance of fit so now I have $17.04, plus shipping, worth of plastic junk.

I just finished replacing the front speakers in my 2004 Honda Civic. I'm not sure why Amazon tells me it doesn't fit my car when the Metra website's fit chart shows this is the correct speaker adapter and the install worked. There are three reasons I docked a star on the rating.1. It's not a direct replacement. It requires purchasing self-tapping screws to mount in the car.2. It doesn't come with instructions. I had to study the adapter to figure out how I was going to mount the speaker to it and how I was going to mount the adapter to the car. There were also 2 unexplained pegs on the back of the adapter that mounts to the car door surface. They were not symmetrically placed. I snapped them off because they just seemed to be in the way.3. I used these adapters to mount . The description says it works with 5.25" or 6.5" speakers. There was barely enough clearance at the edge of the screw slots on the adapter to fit my speakers. I don't know if it was because of the design of this adapter or if the built-in brackets on my new speakers were spaced out slightly farther than industry standards. The screws ended up going in at an angle instead of flush with the bracket surface.

This kit doesn't come with any instructions, but there were some reviews on the Amazon.com site that gave some good suggestions.I installed these with a pair of Pioneer TS-A1675R speakers on my 2002 Acura EL (7th Gen Civic) sedan in about 1.5 hours.I used the screws that came with the speakers to secure the speakers to the adapter (4 screws per speaker). These adapters come with a pair of small nubs that align nicely to the two existing lower cutouts on the front doors, just below where the stock speakers clipped in. Once you have them in aligned, use a marker to mark the 3 holes that you will need to drill. I used a 1/8 drill bit to drill the three pilots and secured the speaker & adapter assembly using #8 3/4" self tapping screws with a hexagonal head (not included, but easily obtained from your local hardware store).I used this in combination with the Metra 72-7800 Honda and Acura Speaker Adapter to connect the speakers to the existing wiring harness and installation was a breeze - a lot easier than trying to create something out of MDF and soldering something manually!

Great product fit the speakers perfectly and only required a few holes to be drilled to mount in my car. Exactly what I was expecting.
