Does not fit 7" x 4" double din stereo. I had to cut the opening in order to get my stereo to fit. Apparently I'm not the only one. I used my Dremel tool with a fine cut saw blade to make the cuts followed by some filing.

I first purchased the Scoche kit for the Honda Ridgeline, although both were made of ABS plastic, the Metra kit seemed to be a bit stronger. Metra has the ability to secure the radio with the 5th screw, and the color (grey) was so exact it looks OEM. The OEM screws were barely long enough to secure the kit to the dash, since the Metra kit doubles up on the little brackets. As info, I installed a Jensen CAR710W, I had to return the Amazon SWC Honda kit and had to go to Crutchfield (CRUX SWRHN-62L) SWC wiring kit, with dip switch box, which included the FM antenna and main connector. I installed a license place backup cam and it all works well. Hope this helps those working on a Ridgeline.

I need to play with it some more, but in short, my dash no longer fits. The upper right clips will not snap back in, because the stereo kit is in the way / not perfectly line up. Like some mentioned, the holes for these brackets are not lining up at all with my stereo. I guess I'll drill them out and add washers. If I line up the osest slots with the stereo holes for my screws, it sits in a way that prevents the dash from going back on correctly, so I've just been driving around without it clipped in. Looks terrible. Once I get it figured out, the color and everything makes it look like it was designed that way. Matches great. Just a pain to install. Instructions aren't good, and no good videos show you assembly of the dash kit.

I'm very pleased. I read all the reviews and made the decision to get this one based on the color matching with my ridgeline. After I put in the order, I was checking out my ridgeline dash board and thought that it looks more black than grey, so then I thought I messed up and should have gotten a black one instead of grey as it is described here. I just waited for the order to come In before I make any other decision. It turned out that the dash kit that I got does look like a light black in color and matches the factory dash color of my ridgeline pretty close. The dash kit seems kinda flimsy since it is all made of plastic but once they are installed, it is well secured and solid. Did not find any problem with it.

I bought both the Metra 95-7870 and the Scosche Dash Kits for my 2012 Ridgeline RTS with graphite interior. I really didn't want to waste money, but I didn't know any way to compare unless I had both in front of me and could hold them up to the dash.My conclusion is that the best choice is Metra (this kit). But the Metra has issues as well.Metra 95-7870 Dash Kit:+ Color was dead on match with tray below it+ Texture was dead on match with tray below it- Plastic was flimsy, especially the connection between head unit and the trayI was definitely worried about the structural integrity of this Metra kit. The design of the attachment of the tray to the main bezel is so weak that it's ludicrous. I almost permanently glued the head unit dash adapter to the tray unit to improve the strength and prevent a gap line, but that would have made any future changes difficult. In the end it worked OK once in the dash. It looks great - hard to tell it isn't factory.Scosche Dash Kit:+ Plastic was thicker and stiffer than Metra- Color was too dark, almost black- Texture was wrong, too pebble-grained- The thin bezel around the opening was odd, hard to alignThe main head unit dash piece was definitely thicker and stronger than the Metra, but I didn't assemble the Scosche to the head unit so I don't know for sure that it would have been any stronger once assembled. But the color and texture were so off that I didn't go any further with the Scosche.

I'm not real pleased with this dash kit. I put it in my 2006 Ridgeline... well I put it in after some modifications. First of all, cheap cheap plastic, not real pleased considering I'm mounting a several hundred dollar head unit in it. It has a cheap appearance and smudges with oil from your skin. Second, either I received a correct right side bracket and a left sided bracket from a different dash kit, or the left sided bracket was just terribly wrong. This bracket is shorter than the correct right side bracket and only 1 of the pre-drilled screw holes KIND OF fits. I ended up drilling 2 holes in places where I deemed them more appropriated. Third, I had to cut part of the plastic to get it to fit into my dash. Fourth, after it's all said and done my dash trim still will not snap into place in the top right corner. To sum it up - cheap looking, cheap feelling, and requires modification to work minimally. I truly think they included an incorrect piece so I probably could have returned it - but this was a weekend project before a road trip therefore I made do. Overall, not happy.
