Well made, good old school design, goes well with my 50 year old car. Provides a good strong signal to the radio, much better than my old one.

At 5/8" wavelength this antenna provides extended coverage on FM and very good AM when clamped or grounded to the car/truck body. The spring at the bottom is a matching impedance so if its flexing due to wind resistance signal strength will fluctuate with the flexing of the spring. This is my second antenna, same make/module, where I've added heat shrink tubing to the spring and the joints where the antenna section connect. See the photos posted. For the price of an antenna don't expect it to last for years and years, the chrome plating may rust overtime when exposed to extended sunlight and road/dirt grime. I use it for DXing while driving around in my 2001 buick.

Extremely disappointed in the lack of quality and craftsmanship of this antenna. The main stem is loose and rattles, and can not be tightened. The stem is pressed onto a screw and it just keeps rotating because of the poor construction. The plastic base has gaps and in no way could be considered leakproof or waterproof, and there is no way to tighten it securely. I did not even finish installing it because It does not meet my expectations of an acceptable replacement. I Wanted it as a replacement antenna on a 10 year-old camper, however the rusty antenna from the camper roof is made of better quality then this replacement.

The mounting system is not fun to install securely. After getting it all tightly secured over a bead of silicone gasket, it still wound up dripping water from the core onto my headliner. Not from the black gasket, but from the core where the wire comes out. To top it off, within 3 weeks I had rust on the spring and the adjusting screw. Stunned that it wasn’t stainless steel screw and at the very least a coated or non-corrosive spring. Looks terrible now. Reception is perfect though. Not bad if you’re looking to replace a bad fender mounted antenna on a rust bucket that you don’t mind a rusty antenna on. Not recommended for roof installs.

works pretty good so far, a little bit on the flimsy side but it's hanging in there seems to help me pull in the farther away stations, only have had it in for a couple of weeks will update later this year

Easy to install antenna. Received great reception with this item. Good quality chrome product. I plan on painting it black to match the rest of my jeep.
