This worked just as advertised, didn't need the side pieces. The slip bracket on my JVC head, just set in there perfect and sturdy, just pinch the set tabs with a screwdriver and mine is very sturdy, and it slips right in the slot on the Honda Civic. Simple as that. But if your looking at this you probably understand what I'm talking about. Must have

I have a 2003 Honda civic and bough this trim ring the bottom of it did not have any clips to hold it from popping out so I had to fabricate a plastic peace to make it work.

At first I saw there was very tiny gaps and that the texture wasn't a perfect exact match but after a few weeks I didn't even notice it anymore. Been about 8 months and extremely happy with my purchase. (2005 civic)

Looks great. Easy to install and fit perfectly. Much better than another one I ordered. For the record it fits the 2002 Civic SI Coupe. It just doesn't fit the hatchback.

Updated our old 2001 civic stereo with a blue-tooth enabled head unit. Installation was pretty simple and straight forward. The stereo slotted in as expected and has held solid for over a year now.Pros...Fits like a glove.Cons...Plastic isn't very thick, but also doesn't really need to be. Just be a little careful during install and it will last forever.

It's been a while since I actually installed this. I recall it being a bit of a pain to get the radio locked down in it, but once installed its been perfect.Ultimately no complaints, except maybe it would have been nice to keep the door that the factory panel had over the storage area beneath the radio.

I have a 04 Acura EL (pretty much an 04 civic), the Metra 99-7899 dash kit and the Metra 70-1721 fit my Acura perfectly, I installed a Sony MEXN4100BT audio receiver. The Metra harness came with all the correct colour coded wires and two extra wires that I capped off by themselves (orange and solid blue) because my receiver did not support those options and I didn't need them.

this is a difficult review. the product is worth 5 stars hands down. It functions correctly easily goes together and all around looks nice.HOWEVER!!!!! those of you with a civic (mines a 2003) YOU DON'T NEED THIS THING! when I unbolted my stereo from its surround, I realized my new stereo would fit right in. I decided to not use this bracket because I loved having the pocket beneath the stereo with the door, it holds my phone and anything else I might have. This Dash Kit looks nicer tho. With the original car dash the radio seats up and bolts down but doesn't look great. It looks OKAY but not great. This dash kit makes it look a lot nicer BUT you lose the door beneath the radio, again that was important to me! I was bummed when I found out I was going to lose it! SO yes it works, no you don't need it. My advice is if you don't use or care about the door buy this! it looks nice and works well, if you love pocket with door, don't buy this! lol

Got this for the replacement of the factory radio in a 2003 Civic. Once I removed the factory radio, I realized I didn't really need this adaptor since the new readio pretty much fit into the ISO mount for the old one and there was no need to 'fill' the odd Gumby-shaped right side of the opening since the original dash already had that covered. If I had a DIN-mounted stereo this woudl have been a much more useful kit for the job.The finish of this is kind of 'meh' and not the best-looking plastic or texture in my opinion-- it looks cheap and wil surround your install area with a cheap-looking piece of plastic with a melange of differing textures-- you're getting what you pay for in the looks department. The flip-side of that is that this is extremely affordable so if you're looking for good construction, good materials, good deisgn, and a low price, you've found the right mount.

Got this kit for a radio I installed for a friend. Color match is decent overall and the texture helps it blend with her interior. Overall pretty solid kit that is well constructed. Was impressed with the tight snap fits. I found the stereo could be installed easily without the side brackets. I just used the bend tabs on the radio collar itself and found that gave a stable good fit. The opening has a nice ridge that can be used with the bend tabs to stabilize.Overall definitely a decent kit for doing a radio install on a civic.
