The Signs of Bad Ball Joints

How to Replace / Install Ball Joints

These fit 2017 Forester perfectly. No pinch bolt, but mine came out fine. These don't use cotter pin, come with nylon lock nut, which is fine with me.

I didn't pay close attention to the product picture. Be aware there's no castle nut and safety pin, but it comes with a self locking nut. I still used thread lock. There was 3 extra threads so I used my castle nut as a lock nut for peace of mind. Only thing I didn't use was plumbers tape.They are made really well, the pivot is firm and bushing seal is snug tight to the shaft.In the picture it's next to a stock 2014 WRX ball joint. Notice the bottom is a little longer, but there is no fitment issue. I was able to easilly get it in with a sludge hammer.
