The good news-This thing is pretty sturdy. Most cat posts are cardboard junk. This is solid wood. I'm impressed how they managed to get it to fit in such a small shipping boxThe bad news-I have learned long ago that with most items that are made in China and require that the buyer put it together are written in gibberish. It's best to simply follow the parts diagram and work from a photo of the finished product. This one was no different. Here is a direct quote from the instruction sheet- HOW TO SOLVE DOOR HANGER OUT OF THE DOOR?Metal plates attach one wooden section to another. There are adhesive felt patches that are supposed to protect your door from scratches that are supposed to be attached to the outside of the metal plates. I couldn't peel the non-adhesive backing off of the patches. So far, not a single cat has displayed any interest in this thing. Maybe they will later..-

My cat had learned to jump on top of the door frame so I figured it'd make sense to give him more play space on the area. It worked out great and he has been utilizing it every day since we put it up. Install was easy, only took about 30 minutes. Door stability might be an issue depending on how thin your door is, but a few pieces of thick double sided tape fixed it for me.

My cat LOVES this cat tree. Way more than his normal cat tree. I think because it goes up really high and he likes to be high up. He also uses the bottom part as a scratcher although it’s a soft material but he enjoys it. He loves jumping up and down it it’s very cute. Only thing to be cautious of is little paws at the top of the doorframe because sometimes he does go up to the top. Also I did buy alien tape based on another commenter’s suggestion because they said the given stickers weren’t the best and I agree, but this is my favorite cat purchase I’ve made to date regardless. He loves it so much. It is also very sleek and takes up almost no space which is ideal because I live in an apartment. 10/10 recommend

I'm concerned about the safety of this door-mounted cat tree. The wood is the cheapest, thinnest stuff I've ever seen used for pet furniture. Just being handled during unpacking, the wood feels like it's going to break. Popcicle sticks seem sturdier. None of the edges are sanded down either, making for a lot of rough or sharp edges. Most of the load-bearing parts that aren't wood are made of plastic. The braces that hold up the platforms? All plastic.I wanted to like this. It looks awesome. Modern and whatnot. But it's all looks and no substance. I can't risk my little girl's safety with something like this. It's not worth it to pack up and return, so I'll repurpose the parts for something safer.

My kitten is 6 months old and weighs 9 lbs. as you can see, his body takes up the whole step just sitting on it. When he tries to lay down, he rolls off.The amount of twisting a cat must do to go from step to step is intense. He fell from the top step twice then it was taken down, disassembled and returned. If you have a small cat that just likes to sit still, this may be ok.Cool concept but when put to use is completely impractical for a curious cat.

These are perfect for making vertical climbers. Got mine for master bathroom door to give more use of available space in the small room. They work great as described, hanging on the door and come with lots of stick on to the device heavy duty backers to protect the door surface. Super easy to put together, especially if you have an electric screwdriver, but totally doable by hand too. The only thing I wasn’t thrilled with is the bottom anti shift device is just a stick on flap with a metal bar to fit through the bottom hole and keep it from swinging. Concept is great, practical use kind of failed. My sticker came off after the 16# cat pushed off the bottom. I used a screw instead and that thing doesn’t move. The cats love it as they can climb up to higher shelves easier. We liked it so much we bought a second for a hallway climb up to get to an upper catwalk. This one we hard mounted with a few screws to the stud in the wall. It doesn’t move either and all the cats can use it easily.

The product is good quality and seems like it will last for a long time. It seems to be well made, and easy to assemble as long as you follow the video instructions that are included with this product listing. I couldn't make any sense of the paper instructions, but following the video was very easy. The most important piece of information you need to know though, is that this thing will NOT be stable as-is. The sticker at the bottom is completely worthless. You are going to need Heavy Duty Command strips all along the back to secure this thing (I used 5). Otherwise, when your cats jump off, it will swing and scare the heck out of them. Also, if you plan to use it on an open door, like me, you will need a doorstop to keep the door from moving. In summary: Follow the video assembly instructions, purchase heavy duty Command strips and a doorstop in advance. After that, you will have a secure option for your cats.
