Your cart is empty.The 4900 SAC305 No Clean Solder Wire is an electronic grade solder wire. It uses the predominant lead-free alloy composition and exceeds J-STD-006C and meets ASTM B 32 purity specifications. It is complemented with a no clean, synthetically refined, splatter-proof resin flux core that is classified as REL0 according to J-STD-004B. This solder is a great alternative to leaded solders. The 4900 solders achieve a consistent solder and flux percentage through a state-of-the-art, extrusion, wire-drawing machine. This machine continually monitors the wire to prevent voids and ensure consistency, providing a top-grade solder wire.

I like the pentubes, 3% silver is my focus, melting point seems right, flows wonderfully, there’s really nothing not to like, price is unbeatable for 3% silver solder, I’m not sure how many feet are in each tube but it’s quite a bit (tubes are full when new) never a cold joint

A reasonable choice for those who want an easy-to-apply near-eutectic solder for their DIY work, but don't want to breathe lead vapour. Needs a higher temperature than the usual Sn/Pb (as usual), but does not seem to leave the gooey mess that other (non-eutectic) lead-free formulas do when not adequately heated.

Lead-free solder is all over the map on quality, you just have to try a bunch and get a feel for what works well. This stuff has been great so far—melts and flows well at reasonable temperatures, flux seems good and doesn't irritate my lungs like some bad solders have (still—ventilate!). Good value and quality, will buy more.

This solder combined with a temperature controlled iron that gets to a slightly higher temperature than lead solder works as well as any solder. Good stuff and I tend to like this thicker solder much better than the more common skinny solders. It just takes a touch instead of chasing a length of the skinny stuff.

Using this solder, I have had a very good experience with its melting point and viscosity. The one thing I will point out is the containers it comes in are rather large, and a bit difficult to use with one hand. I would end up cutting off a length to use at a time, as opposed to feeding from the container. Overall, though, it does the job well and you get a lot for what you pay for.
