I was really looking forward to this amigurumi but find myself put off by the contents. For one thing, instead of safety eyes, they use paste-on eyes. There is no way that would stay on for the long haul.

While it comes with a lot of materials, there are many things that are falsely labeled. One is the safety eyes. Safety eyes are a snap mechanism, not a glue stick and adhesive eyes. I will be contacting the seller and possibly return it.

First impressions:I got this because it looked fun and it was on sale for $9.99. If I had gotten this kit as a beginner I’m not certain I would have succeeded in learning with it. I also would be incredibly disappointed if I had bought it at the full $19.99.I will be modifying the pattern as it’s overly complicated for my taste. It came with two small, very small, balls of yarn and a third smaller amount to practice with. The listing states it should make a 9” long and 5” wide dragon but I have my doubts with the quantity of yarn included. The yarn is also very cheap. Just getting started and the yarn is immediately unraveling. I pictured the magic ring with three stitches but the yarn was unraveling before I even started. This would make it very frustrating and discouraging for a beginner. It also does not include safety eyes. Instead you’re supposed to glue eyes onto the amigurumi, they even include a glue stick. This is very disappointing for me.The tools included are the saving grace. For the $9.99 I spent, I feel at least grateful that the two included hooks(2.5mm) are decent. It has a few stitch markers, scissors and metal needle. The pamphlets are decently written. One is the pattern and the other is a helpful book with pictures and guides. It does also link to a YouTube playlist to help show how to do different stitches.Since this kit didn’t include safety eyes, I am going to be getting proper safety eyes before making this. I will update my review after completion.
