If you have any boat with the plastic fitting and your drive is out, replace it with this brass one. The plastic breaks when removing an old, stiff hose and leaks!!

The best replacement for the cheap plastic barb fitting which comes on boats now. Prices go up and the parts are flimsy plastic where they should be brass. Cudos for this part.

Replaced my broken plastic fitting with this brass fitting, not an easy job but saved myself $1,000 doing it myself. Fits perfect and very sturdy!

OEM is a plastic fitting with a 90 degree barbed plastic fitting for the lube hose, it breaks easily when new and when it gets old and brittle and breaks even easier causing a great deal of stress, it is not an easy part to get to for repairs. A shop will charge 1k or more to replace it they will pull the outdrive off to get to it. DIY took me only an hour by myself and I did not remove the drive.This part by Michigan Machine is machined from solid brass and you will really have to abuse it to break it. I think it will last the lifetime of my boat. Cost more but the savings down the road will be money in the bank.
