I have been a big fan of Micro Jig since I purchased my first push block. They make very clever products, that immensely help make woodworking safer and more convenient. This product is no exception.You do have to create a spoiled board for the heavy duty plastic stoppers to fit into. The manufacturer does provide a link with instructions on how to create the spoil board. This kit comes with a ton of pieces, so there are many configurations which can be used for securing your work piece. The manufacturer also provides great guidance for each type of stop block, and its use. I have been using this on my Genmitsu PROVerXL 4030 V2, and it is very compatible. This would work with pretty much any CNC, since you are creating the spoil board custom to your CNC needs. Heck, you could use this set even without CNC, for small intricate work on your workbench. Just simply secure your spoil board to your workbench, and you have a handy set up for securing your workpiece.Overall, I would definitely recommend this kit. It works perfectly for securing work pieces for CNC, or anything else you could imagine. Once you build your spoil board, the pieces are extremely easy to use. It's also a great value for the amount of pieces that are included in this kit. I'm very happy with it.

I like all the components in this kit but find it to be a little pricey.Microjig makes quality products, their Grr-Ripper's are as good as it gets for push blocks.I think if Mircojig would have included the router bit, that it would be an easier purchase to swallow.These clamping pieces are strong and made from some resin/plastic that seems like it will stand the test of time.

Two years ago, I made a sliding table saw sled by using the MicroJig MatchFit™ Dovetail Groove System. I used the MicroJig® 14-degree dovetail bit and my handheld router with a movable fence to create an accurate 3 5/8 x 3 5/8” multiple square box dovetail groove design on the top side of a 30” wide by 21” high, sheet of 3/4" thick piece of Baltic birch plywood. I installed two running rails on the bottom side of this sliding table saw sled and it has worked great for cutting wood to size especially when using the MicroJig® MATCHFIT Dovetail Track Clamps®. Fast forward to today, while I do not own a CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machine at this time, I am now able to further increase the versatility of my MicroJig® dovetail grooved system board by using the MatchFit™ CNC Workholding Kit. I am now able to securely hold my project wood to the dovetail work surface sled (AKA Spoil Board) for other woodworking purposes other than cutting wood on my table saw. This new kit has four new different low-profile styles of accessory holding clamps that have been designed to be used with the existing 14-degree dovetail grooved work top surface. These new clamps now allow me to position the project wood on the surface holding board by using the dovetail grooves. Therefore, I now can securely hold the project wood without using any bulky traditional clamps. These new low-profile holding clamps do not get in the way or hinder the use of hand or power tools or even a CNC machine. Depending on the size and shape of the project wood, MicroJig® has already thought of and designed the combination of different clamps you would need to securely hold the project wood. For example, some of these clamps press down and push forward while others have been designed to grip the top of the work surface and its sides. In addition, these clamps will securely hold abnormally shaped wood in addition to the traditional square and rectangular shaped wood. This kit includes: 3-edge guides with track nuts and screws, 2 ring clamps with 1” track screws and wing knobs, 2 ramp clamps with 1” track screws and wing knobs, 4 “U-pad” clamps with 2” track screws and wing knobs and spacer blocks and complete user manual and instructions and best of all, it is “Made in the USA”. So, when I do buy my first CNC machine, I will be ready to operate it quickly and safely by using the using the MatchFit™ CNC Workholding Kit but in the meanwhile, I will be using this great kit of specially designed clamps on my current MicroJig MatchFit™ Dovetail Groove System board!

I have two GRR-Rippers, decked out with all of the options and extras, so whenever I see a product from Micro Jig, I'm paying attention. Much like my gripping push blocks, this clamping kits offers a lot of versality that may take a little time and experience to really learn how to use. Not that they are complicated, but sometimes there are possibilities that may not be obvious! This is more true of the GRR-Rippers, but this clamping kit can really open up some doors once you see what they can do.These are made from really durable plastic and designed to work with a dovetailed spoilboard. While this is great for CNC, you might find yourself wanting to put dovetail grooves in other work surfaces as well, or at least make a board you can just clamp down wherever! These clamp designs are really pretty brilliant, I could definitely see wanting more than one of these kits.My only complaint is how this arrived. The kit comes packed in a pegboard display box that completely fell apart in shipping, since it was just tossed in a bubble mailer instead of a box. Nothing was harmed or lost, but it necessitated finding somewhere to store the pieces on day one, instead of relying on the box for a bit. Not a big deal, but better packaging and handling would be expected for a >$100 item with so many pieces.

The only thing holding you back on using this kit is your imagination. Just make your dovetail spoilboard and you are set to go. You can hold just about anything you want for your cnc machine. I admit i still have a lot more to learn as far as other jigs you can make with this. There is a nice long instruction manual that comes along with this holding kit to help you out.
