Material: feels kind of like a synthetic chamois towel. The material is very tightly weaved and soft. It is absorbent as you would expect. Seemed to get softer after the first wash.Aesthetics: royal blue stripes that give impression of being painted on. The stripes are intentionally skewed and the color inconsistent, almost speckled. It gives a less formal look to the towel. The stripes are one one side only and seem to be sublimated.Pack ability: the material is quite thin and easy to fold. Makes a nice choice for travel.Beach/sand: some towels and beach blankets take the approach of allowing sand to fall through. Not this one, the weave is very tight but sand tends to shed from it pretty easily. If you are looking for a thick, comfortable towel to lay on, this isn’t it. If you are short on space or want one that will not bring a lot of sand home with you, this is a good choice.

Like some of the other reviewers, I didn't realize quite what this was when I got it. I was initially expecting a typical beach towel, and somehow didn't really comprehend just what "microfiber" meant for this. It is really more of a blanket than a towel, but works very well in that sense. This was clearly never designed to be used for drying, like normal towels or even most beach towels. Its primary purpose is for lying down on the sand. The thin design actually reduces the issue of sand getting caught up in the fabric, as is the case with other towels. The material is also very absorbent of water and dries pretty quickly, so the combination works surprisingly well for situating yourself on a beach day.The overall craftsmanship and material quality is pretty good, too. The stitching is professional and I actually really like the printed blue stripes of different shades. It's a nice, modernized style of a classic beach blanket design. The couple of criticisms I have are the material and the size. The blanket is by no means uncomfortable, hard, or scratchy, but I also would not call it remarkably soft. I'd say it's a minor compromise for having a towel that does better on sand and with getting wet. As for the size, I'm 5'9" and I don't fit on it entirely when I'm spread out. That's true for a lot of standard beach towels as well, but seeing as the design is catered specifically to laying on the sand as opposed to drying off, it would have been nice if it accommodated my entire body.

I have sheets at home that would be better use. This is literally paper thin, no bigger than a large bath towel. Super cheap material!

This item is definitely not quite what I anticipated as I really find this to be more of a blanket than a towel and the material is incredibly strange. Yes, I am and was aware that it is microfiber so it is different than a "normal" towel but I still did not expect it to be so thin and so harsh to the touch. That said, I still plan on using it as a blanket at the beach/pool, and I think it will be really great to sit on when we first get out of the water and/or lay on a beach chair to really absorb water after a swim. I just don't think anyone in my family would be keen to be wrapped up in this thin and strange material after coming out of the ocean or pool. Also, the colors are pretty but they are only on one side which bugs me. What would it really take to have just printed the pattern on both sides so it doesn't look weird and cheap??? However, I did a little test and it DOES, in fact, absorb moisture well and quickly, which is honestly the only reason it got 3 stars instead of 2.If you're going to order this, just know what you are getting and plan your expectations accordingly. It is not a waste of product and it will get used, but I certainly would not be inclined to order another.

If you are looking for a very thin but soft microfiber towel, this one is for you. Absorbency is pretty good for how thin it is. Just be aware that you are not getting a plush luxurious beach towel. The design/lines are only on one side, the other side is plain white. That wasn't obvious from the listing pictures.

I’ve used a few different thin towels like this and this is comparable. This is not a microfiber like you would use to scrub your house. It is not crazy absorbent, but good enough to pat dry out of a pool and they dry out fast. What they’re best for is laying out, especially on community pool chairs. The colors are a nice pattern, though not solid blue stripes. What is really great about these is how much less bulky they are, which makes it much easier than lugging a huge bag with everyone’s bulky towels. I do wish they were a little longer, but I knew that going in. These are great to have on hand in the summer!

I’m not quite sure what to make of this. The “towel” definitely doesn’t match the description of being microfiber. We’ve used plenty of microfiber towels for the kitchen, beach, and pool, and none have felt like this. This material feels more like a soft blanket shaped like a towel.I could see it being useful for drying off a car, as another reviewer mentioned, but I wouldn’t pack it for the beach or pool as intended. I'm giving it a second star because I’m sure I can find some use for it, just not the one it was sold for.

Feels like a sham wow. Might be good to wash the car. Not a beach towel. Disappointed
