if you need to use this mic while at a computer at all then this isnt the stand for you. most mic stands sit low usually placing the mic right at your chest or if u use a mic arm your able to place the mic right in front of you however the minimum height of the mic rod is 9 inches not including the baseplate or the actually mic and mic support as well putting this thing at roughly a foot tall. its impossible to place it anywhere near you without severely obstructing your vision. it looks nice and the quality seems to be there so if your doing a podcast or something similar this might work but for this to be built with computer users in mind the base height needs to be cut in half at least.

I previously had a clamping stand for my mic and the current setup doesn't really allow for that lengthy contraption, so I grabbed this. It hold the mic securely and has a nice heavy base so it doesn't wobble or move around on you. I also like that the mic holder is universal, so if you have other types of mics, like karaoke mics, you can change the holder and use it for those as well. It is a bit pricey, but it will perform admirably to suspend your mic and keep the audio pure.

Bought this when somehow my Elgato base stand broke. Been looking for something I can place on desk as a replacement. When this product arrived. The bottom base is pretty big so make sure you got enough room! I placed screenshots of what it looks like. It was pretty simple to put together, took maybe less than 10 mins. Pretty secure when holding onto the mic. Not big fan of the price or stand but I figured I give it a try. Just not what I'm looking for, just going to continue on looking

👆😇🤔 = My Honest Thoughts of the BORENBUIR Microphone Stand is that it is Sturdy, Versatile, and Adjustable to use with most cardioid microphones. This stand is specifically designed for the Elgato Wave microphone. Let's explore its compatibility, build quality, and practical considerations. Since I do not own the Elgato Wave, I had to take this stand to a friend's studio to test on his Elgato Wave Mic and neglected to get photos. However, it is a perfect fit.Pros and Cons:Pros:Sturdy Metal Clip: The stand's clip is made of durable metal, a notable departure from the usual plastic clips found in budget alternatives. This sturdy build ensures reliability and longevity.Versatile Compatibility: While custom-built for the Elgato Wave, the stand proves adaptable with its compatibility with other microphones. Users simply need a compatible mount clip for their specific microphone.Adjustable Shock Mount: The shock mount, equipped with rubber bands, securely holds the Elgato Wave. The user has the option to remove these bands and replace the shock mount head with another style shock mount head. For the purpose of using the mount with other microphones. The user can also utilize their own mount to attach to the stand either by 3/8 or 5/8 thread.Yes! It comes with Adapters: The stand includes both 5/8 to 3/8 and 1/4 to 5/8 screw adapters, enhancing its compatibility with various microphones.Weighty and Stable: The stand's weight contributes to its stability, a positive aspect for users seeking a secure and reliable setup.Cons:Balancing Requirement: A notable drawback is the stand's specific design, necessitating the microphone's weight to be balanced toward the flat end. This limitation may pose challenges for use with other microphones that have a center-weighted balance, impacting their stability on the stand.Directional Placement: The microphone must have its balance or weight facing the flat bottom side of the stand. This requirement limits the compatibility of certain microphones that don't align with this directional placement.Product Specifications:Dimensions and Weight:The BORENBUIR Microphone Stand has dimensions of 11 by 10 by 1.9 inches, with an item weight of 1.26 pounds. The substantial weight is considered a positive attribute, contributing to the overall stability of the stand.Final ThoughtsIn conclusion, the BORENBUIR Microphone Stand impresses with its durable metal clip, versatile compatibility, and adjustable shock mount. The inclusion of adapters and their stable weight enhances its appeal. However, users should be mindful of the stand's balancing requirements, especially when using microphones with a center-weighted design. Despite these considerations, the BORENBUIR Microphone Stand stands out as a reliable and adaptable choice for various microphone setups.
