Making all kinds of pasta. It takes about the same time as what I used before, but is a nice update. The lid means you don't need to wash a separate colander because the water is easy to strain. The portion measuring card is helpful to know how much water to use with how much pasta.

Works great. Makes up to four servings at a time. Handle stays cool and strainer works great. Only con is the water level is on a separate card that you need to insert in the cooker. No doubt it will get lost so I marked the level directly in the cooker using a permanent marker but it looks like it will wear off. I found a good rule of thumb is to add a little less than double the water to cover pasta. Too much water and the pasta doesn't get fully cooked but to less will end up with dry pasta. Besides this, it is a great pasta cooker, I recommend.

Helpful little gadget and way easier than whipping out a heavy pan and wasting tons of water in a bigger pot unnecessarily. The only con I found is that the noodles do sometimes stick together a bit but I've started coating the dry noodles with a smidgen of olive oil first (NOT a lot) before nuking them in the microwave, and that seems to do the trick and they still cook up just fine and dandy. I usually use oil in a boiling pot to keep the starchy froth from boiling over on a stove too, so it's still the same number of steps but it's just easier and lighter on my aging hands to use this little thing instead of a heavier pot with lots more water that has more potential for me to spill lol. Great little gadget overall.

This is my second one to add to the rv for fast pasta. Cheaper than big blue box.Soap and water clean up.

I purchased this product to be able to make lunches from scratch at work, using a microwave. (My own kitchen is under renovation and has been unusable for quite some time.) It works exactly as described. It cooks pasta to a very palatable al dente and I have also used it to cook raw potatoes.I love the strainer lid, which makes "one pot" meals possible. I also like that the container is long enough to cook whole spaghetti without breaking it.The only reason I removed a star is because it seems very unclear when purchasing how long this item takes to actually cook your pasta. When using a microwave, I'd expect quicker cooking times, even from a raw state. However, this took 18 minutes to cook spaghetti (it was a whole box) which can be problematic when using a work microwave that other people also want to use. I have to make sure I'm cooking outside of peak-use times.I don't know that this cooks any differently than any microwave safe container would but it's a convenient shape/size and has a built-in strainer in the lid. I still use this periodically and would buy again.

I was shocked that this thing works! I will say it only works well with spaghetti and long noodles - so stick to those and you’ll be pleasantly surprised and pleased too! Super quick and easy 10 min in the microwave / cook with the lid off / lid on to strain / mangia spaghetti 🍝

Sweet product!! I wish I had found this awhile ago. Cooks pasta like there is no tomorrow. 10 minutes and pasta is done, beats boiling water for 14 minutes to boil (if your lucky) then to cook it then drain in it… not with this, pasta water and microwave. 10 minutes or so and drain right in the container and all the water goes. A definite buy !!
