The knobs, faders, and pads are all top notch. Build quality seems great, it's a very solid piece which is important for a drum surface.Hardware-wise, this is really hard to beat! It also is stylish and well laid out.Firmware/software is where it loses points. The sequencer, arguably the "tempo" in TempoPad, is wonky in several ways.First, it goes in a direction I've never seen a sequencer go: Bottom left to bottom right, then second from bottom row left to right, then second from top, then top.Yes, it goes from bottom row to top, presumably because that is how the pads are numbered? We don't care about that, we want to see it go the same direction as practically every other sequencer on the planet, or better yet have the ability to adjust that or even play with it, like step jump in the Volcas. Also, it is badly timed. To the point of being kind of unusable. It goes off from itself both controlling software and hardware.Last gripe I have is that they need iOS editing software. I think a good chunk of people will be using this with an ipad or iphone, so a good editing app would really help us out.The knobs have a kind of velocity curve that I wish I could change. Like you can go 0-127 in a quarter turn off you twist it fast enough, or if you go show it will go bit by bit and nowhere near that many values. It's a good feature but I wish I could adjust it.In all, I really dig this device hardware, is got everything where I want it! It's solid, feels nice, has top quality components, looks great and has very low latency.I took off points for the sequencer and software. It's a TEMPO pad, c'mon. They can fix this, though. And if they do it's a 5star device. Continuing product support and development after release Isa big part of what I look for in a company. Synido, you're new to the scene and I like what you're doing. Continue supporting and improving your current products and you're easily a big contender. The Tempokey had similar issues with timing. They're great hardware with a bit more attention needed to live up to their names.

This is a nice MIDI controller for a decent price! The controls are pretty smooth, though the rotary knobs take a bit of jogging to break in so they're consistent with one another (not a big deal, in my opinion). The controller connects via bluetooth effortlessly or over USB without issues. The pads have good (and adjustable) sensitivity and feel nice to use. Got up and running in my DAW (Presonus) with ease.Comes with a nice case and the adapters for MIDI in/out (which is more than I can say for other MIDI controllers I've purchased in the past). It seems to include basically everything you could need and doesn't pinch pennies by omitting things you might wind up needing for typical setups. Overall I'm quite satisfied and this controller will help tremendously with my production workflows!
