Bought to replace an XKEY 25 that shorted, along with a Mac mini, when it touched a metal table lamp. Looked for a controller with at least a MIDI OUT that might work with a CME-Pro WIDI Master. It didn’t, but it will play to an iPad (mini 5) with a USB to Lightening cable. BTW, the pitch slider is smooth on the iPad but gives choppy (octave) steps on my MacBook Air.Probably won’t much use the CC knobs and MMC switches, but I did use the SHIFT function to try the three Velocity settings - 1 gives the keys good velocity sensitivity, 2 less sensitive and 3 seems one touch sensitive. The keys are firm and not too noisy. Would like to see a Program change feature to control MIDI voices on my old Yamaha MU 5 and MU 80 tone generators. It’s good for what I need to fiddle with sounds and record short phrases on DAWs.Update 14 March 2024: After playing it some, I was bothered that my left hand hits the edge of the pitch and modulation slider housing since the keys are not level with the rest of the chassis. Otherwise good, but down two stars.

Arrived promptly and well packaged. The included printed manual not very clear about setting MIDI channel, but there is a link provided to an on-line one and I worked it out without too much hassle. A nicely made and weighted mini keyboard that makes entering notes and trying out ideas much easier on my Digitakt and connected synths. It's the best option if you need a simple keyboard with 5 pin MIDI (as well as USB connection).

I have been guilty of collecting midi controllers like Imelda Marcos collected shoes but I use different rigs for different gigs. I am not a keyboard player per se but I like to fool around with Korg Gadget on ipad. I love that this small keyboard has a 5 pin midi connection to use for my volcas and easily programmable knobs. The knobs retained their CC settings when I turned it back on. The build quality is much better than i expected and the lights are wonderful! Plug and play with an ipad 2 and ipad air 2 via CCK.

I have a small studio and many, many keyboards. I was looking for something to take with me in my laptop bag to use on ferry boats and airport waiting rooms. I wasn't expecting this keyboard to be as high quality as it is.For an inexpensive little keyboard it is very well built and has a great feel to it. The keys are responsive enough to not be distracting and the buttons and knobs all solid. I wasn't sure about the ribbon controllers for pitch and mod

Excellent petit clavier maitre au toucher agréable. Question solidité cela me parait être à toute épreuve. Comme quoi il n'y a pas que cette fameuse marque française dont le nom rappelle les chevaliers de la table ronde qui fait du bon matos.

Really surprised at the build quality for a relatively under used company. the face plate is metal as is the bottom. The knobs are rubberized to the touch and have a nice quality feel with friction when twisting. MW and Pitch strips work as expected. This is Arturia level build quality for half the cost. Excellent stuff, this will not be my last time buying from MidiPlus.

I bought this as a controller for iOS apps like the minimoog. Love the little lights on the expression knobs, unexpected. I would say the key action is harder than I expected. But this is a well made little unit with thoughtful features for the price. Perfect profile for my rig, and IT HAS A FULL SIZE MIDI OUT.One thing negative to say is that the first key is lower than all of the others. I may return this and replace it with the same thing due to this.

I'll start off with a quick disclaimer; I've only used the 5-pin midi port on this keyboard, and not its USB-MIDI capability. So far, it works quite well for my uses, actually exceeding my original expectations. All four knobs are re-assignable to different functions from within the keyboard itself (I assigned mine to functions my reciever has analog outputs for, but you can assign them to anything you need)The MIDI channel and program can also be changed using nothing but the keyboard (no secondary controller needed). All four knobs can be removed and replaced with any cap you want (but honestly they look great as-is, so I'm not sure why you would, but you definitely can if you feel the need.)While it has sequencer controls (play/pause, stop, rewind, fast forward) this keyboard is NOT a sequencer (though it can interface with an external sequencer if you wish)This is the cheapest (5-pin) midi keyboard I could find on amazon that didn't look like a black plastic kid's toy, and it's amazingly well-made. Its bottom and back/top panels are metal, and the rest is a well-made plastic housing that feels quite robust. My only minor complaint is that the pitch-bend slider (it's a capacitive touch bar) always snaps straight back to center when you let go of it, but I likely won't be using that slider much anyway.update: a software update now lets it send Program Change messages through the DIN portI've also now modified it to be battery-powered and wireless using an arduino and a few LiPo batteries (none of that is stock, but it's pretty easy to modify), it works great.

Awesome! I love this little guy. For a portable traveling keyboard it does have aome weight to it. I love the lights on this thing and more importantly the mod and pitch sliders. This thing was really easy to set up. This is my new favorite traveling controller by far!
