The carafe looks good and function like a chemex but the thermos does not keep the coffee hot. You have about 90 minutes before losing temperature. But if it’s to keep coffee hot for the first hour it works. On the up side, looks pretty durable.

I love this coffee carafe. It’s beautifully elegant and highly functional. It keeps the coffee hot and is easy to pour. It’s also easy to clean. I use it with a stainless steel mesh filter that fits Chemex carafes.

I just received my purchased and out of the box I was disappointed in that PLASTIC is part of an otherwise great product. The plastic parts include the stopper , the spot that attaches to the reservoir, and grip. Another issue the rubber grip. Too small if you have large hands. I can't imagine not burning my hand during the pouring of HOT coffee. Unfortunately , this is being returned and I'll continue looking at other manufacturers. If you're trying to get away from plastics look elsewhere. Let's hope Miir changes its design to be more eco friendly.

Beware your grip when trying to empty your filter. The carafe also bleeds heat as soon as you're done with your pour over. You can say it's double wall insulated but that's a lie. My Yeti tumbler never bleeds heat.

A great pour-over coffee maker! I have a Cosori which is glass, like a Chemex, but has a metal filter which leaves a little residue in the bottom of the pot. I much prefer the Miir because it's insulated and keeps my coffee hot for hours (unlike glass coffee makers). And the paper filters leave little or no smutz in the bottom of the pot. Also, the Miir is metal so if I drop it it won't break. Great product!

I really like the coffee, the style, and ease of use. However, I don’t like that I have cut myself three times on the rim. Why the heck is it so sharp?

Charge $90 for a carafe that is not double walled construction (see other review), so the part you grip does get hot. Would want a wood ring there like the classic chemex, case of Miir re-inventing the wheel i guess.They claim they have "business practices and strategies that prioritize people and the planet" but then even when you contact the company, they won't sell a replacement stopper for the carafe. So another one will cost me $90 i guess. The product is literally two parts, a metal carafe and a plastic stopper (super weird shape btw) and they won't sell one without the other. Just another company trying to virtue signal their concern for the environment without actually backing it up with their business practices.
