These are great for blending pastel colors on my pastelmat. Highly recommend.

I do more crafting than pencil art, so when I saw these I thought they might be great for dye ink blending. I have better choices for ink blending, so I will stick to those. These don't do really great with inks because the sponge heads tend to stick to the paper once wet with ink and catch, thereby twisting on the holder and not working well at all. Plus, they leave streaks of ink because of this twisting issue and that's not good, even when I tried to do fine, small area blending. However, since they're made to be pencil sketch stumps, they do that wonderfully! They blend pencil lead nicely, with as much precision or lack thereof a person might want. I was really happy with that aspect and highly recommend these for pencil artists.

I needed a really small blender for working with inks and cardstock so these seemed like they might work. They do, but the little pads tend to spin around on the tool, but that doesn't matter too much to me. They're like eyeshadow applicators, but with the spinning, I don't know how easy it would be to get precise blending when working on paper. I have a hard time getting the tool to move back and forth with any degree of precision, but that's not necessary for the projects I've used them for.

I ordered three assorted brands, all same equal decent quality, and different weights, but consistent in shape. without use can't prefer one over the other, but the workshop I plan to attend the extra will be handy. Would buy again per need rises.
